What is a remote assembly?

A Remote Assembly job involves putting together products, components, or parts from a remote location, typically from home or a designated workspace. These roles can include assembling electronics, crafting handmade items, or putting together product kits for shipping. Employers may provide the necessary materials, tools, and instructions for completing tasks. Attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow instructions are essential. Some positions may offer flexible hours, while others require meeting specific deadlines.

What are some of the unique challenges faced in a remote assembly position?

One of the main challenges in a Remote Assembly position is maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy without the immediate supervision or direct peer support present in traditional assembly environments. Effective communication and digital collaboration become critical when resolving technical questions or reporting production issues to supervisors and team members. Remote assemblers must also be adept at managing their workflow and troubleshooting mechanical or technical problems independently. However, companies usually provide thorough virtual onboarding, regular check-ins, and access to support resources to help remote assemblers overcome these challenges and stay connected with the broader team.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a remote assembly position, and why are they important?

To excel in a Remote Assembly role, candidates typically need manual dexterity, attention to detail, and some mechanical aptitude, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent experience in manufacturing or assembly. Familiarity with virtual collaboration tools, digital work instructions, and basic ERP or inventory systems is often required. Strong self-motivation, time management, and problem-solving skills help individuals stand out in this position. These abilities ensure quality, efficiency, and accountability while working independently from a remote location.

No guessing. No surprises. Just honest service, done right.

Today, we're one of the largest on-demand junk removal and home services platforms in the country, matching individuals and businesses nationwide with trusted providers for removal, disposal, assembly, and hourly labor.

We're one of Inc.'s 5000 Fastest-Growing Companies and have been a certified Great Place to Work® since 2019.

We're growing fast, and we're looking for talented, driven people who want to help us keep reimagining what this industry can be. If you're excited by the idea of building something real, moving quickly, and doing right by customers, join our mission!

  • Learn and master LoadUp’s internal software to help track orders and stay up to date on driver activity.

  • Support customers through every step of the sales process, from first conversation to final scheduling.

  • Respond quickly and professionally to inbound calls, chats, and texts from customers and prospects.

  • Stay engaged with leads by following up through calls, emails, and text messages to answer questions and close the sale.

  • Work one of our three available shifts, with the unique flexibility to work completely remotely from home during weekend shifts:

    • Shift 1: Sat–Wed 7:30 AM–4:30 PM (In-office weekdays, remote WFH weekends)

    • Shift 2: Tue–Sat 11:00 AM–8:00 PM (In-office weekdays, remote WFH Saturday)

Who You Are

  • You take pride in your work, stay curious, and want to grow your skills while solving real customer problems.

  • You think on your feet, offer thoughtful solutions, and stay focused on delivering the best outcome for each customer.

  • You don’t get discouraged by objections—you see them as opportunities to build trust and guide the conversation forward.

Benefits

  • Health & Wellness Coverage

  • Generous Paid Time Off

  • 401(k) with 5% Company Match

  • Monthly Lifestyle Stipends, Employee Recognition programs, and Referral Bonuses.
