Job description

Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Virtual School‑Based Sign Language Interpreters (SLIs) – United States
Remote • K–12 Only • Must Be Licensed in Both State of Residence AND State of Service

Key Responsibilities

  • Real‑Time Educational Interpreting — Provide live interpretation for classroom instruction, small‑group work, and school‑based activities.
  • Student & Staff Communication Support — Facilitate communication between Deaf/Hard‑of‑Hearing students, teachers, peers, and families.
  • IEP Participation — Attend virtual IEP meetings and support communication access.
  • Documentation — Maintain accurate service logs and required reporting.
  • Professional Standards — Follow state licensure rules and interpreting ethics specific to school‑based work.
