Job description

Established in 2004, Inside Ideas Group is a rapidly growing global agency network that helps clients drive their businesses forward from the Inside. We partner with over 300 clients in 40+ countries and counting. Our unique model drives creativity and efficiency, allowing us to deliver tailored solutions that resonate deeply with audiences.

As a part of The Brandtech Group, we're at the forefront of leveraging cutting-edge AI technology to revolutionise how we create and deliver work. Our AI solutions enhance efficiency, spark creativity, and drive insightful decision-making, empowering our teams to produce innovative and impactful results.

Role: Art Director (Remote)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

About the role:

The Art Director is a craft specialist and independent creative contributor within the Inside Ideas Group studio. You deliver high-quality design across multiple personal care, OTC, and home brands and formats, working from clear creative briefs provided by clients or Creative Director. You collaborate with Copywriters, Senior Account Managers and Designers to produce integrated, multi-channel creative that is brand-true, audience-relevant, and SLA-compliant.

What you will be doing:
  • Design across a wide range of digital formats — email, paid social, display, digital OOH, web, and video support
  • Maintain brand integrity across all visual output, applying each brand's distinct identity with precision and care across personal care, OTC, and home product portfolios
  • Work from briefs provided by the Associate Creative Director, delivering design concepts and executions to the agreed quality standard and timeline
  • Partner with Copywriters to ensure visual and verbal elements of every asset are fully integrated
  • Use Pencil and other AI-assisted design tools to enhance production speed and creative iteration, applying rigorous human quality judgment at every stage
  • Contribute to the QA and review process, ensuring all design assets are technically accurate, brand-compliant, and delivery-ready before approval
  • Participate in brand immersion sessions to build deep knowledge of the personal care, OTC, and home brands you support — including their audiences, retail environments, and regulatory considerations
  • Adapt and version existing creative across formats, sizes, and channels — including both manual adaptation and AI-assisted resizing and reformatting
  • Collaborate effectively across time zones, maintaining clear communication and timely delivery while working remotely in support of a US-based team
What you need to be great in this role:
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong art direction and design craft across digital channels — email, social, display, and/or video
  • Professional proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or Figma
  • Experience working in high-volume, multi-brand content production environments, with a structured, detail-oriented approach to delivery
  • Experience working on personal care, OTC, and/or home brands is a strong asset — familiarity with retail, e-commerce, and regulated product marketing is a meaningful differentiator
  • Understanding of accessibility, email design specifications, and digital production requirements
  • Experience with or genuine interest in AI-assisted design tools and workflows
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent briefs without losing quality or missing deadlines
  • Proficiency with AI design and image generation tools (Pencil, Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, or equivalent) to enhance creative output and iteration speed
  • Experience building personal AI-assisted design workflows to improve efficiency and quality
  • Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated design outputs and apply creative judgment to ensure brand quality
  • An agentic approach to multi-brief creative execution: organized, systematic, and proactive
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while remaining a collaborative and communicative team member
