Job description

RG is looking to hire a Solutions Architect. The Solutions Architect is an exempt customer-facing business professional that provides a variety of services directly related to the customer's overarching mission. The Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing an integrated architecture that addresses all aspects of the data pipeline-from legacy system extraction through data cleansing, analytics, and visualization. They will create a cohesive technical vision that encompasses data repositories, integration patterns, analytics frameworks, and user interfaces. They will also develop a scalable, secure architecture that meets DoD requirements while enabling advanced data science capabilities. The Solutions Architect will work closely with the Program Manager, Technical Lead, and Data Scientists to ensure the architecture enables all technical requirements.
Additionally, the Solutions Architect will be responsible for:
  • Designing the end-to-end technical architecture for data extraction, processing, analytics, and visualization
  • Creating data models and schemas for the unified maintenance data repository
  • Defining integration patterns for connecting disparate maintenance systems
  • Architecting secure data pipelines that meet DoD cybersecurity requirements
  • Designing the infrastructure for natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning components
  • Developing architectural approaches for data quality management and lineage tracking
  • Creating technical specifications and documentation for implementation teams
  • Reviewing code, models, and implementation approaches for architectural compliance
  • Conducting technical risk assessments and defining mitigation strategies
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the architecture meets operational needs
  • Leading the development of the Data Architecture Design
  • Supporting the technical aspects of the decision support framework design
  • Ensuring all solution components comply with applicable security standards

Designing for scalability to support future expansion to additional weapon systems
Required Skills
The Solution Architect is an experienced technical leader who combines deep architectural expertise with practical knowledge of data science implementations. This individual provides architectural guidance and ensures technical cohesion across all solution components.
Required Experience
To be successful in this role, all candidates must meet the below qualifications to be considered.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in technical architecture roles including experience designing data-intensive applications or analytics solutions
  • Demonstrated expertise in data architecture, data modeling, and integration patterns
  • Experience designing solutions that comply with government security requirements
  • Strong understanding of data science technologies and frameworks
  • Excellent diagramming and technical documentation skills
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Experience guiding technical teams through implementation of architectural designs
  • Proficiency with architecture modeling tools and methodologies
  • Ability to operate effectively in remote/hybrid team environments
  • Current NACI or ability to obtain

  • Architecture certifications (TOGAF, AWS, Azure, etc.)
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance
  • Background in designing predictive analytics or decision support systems
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices in government environments
  • Experience architecting solutions for legacy system modernization
  • Familiarity with data visualization and dashboard architectures
