Job description

Associate Creative Director, Brand

About MVR Digital

We're a performance marketing agency for premium and luxury DTC brands. We run Meta, Google, TikTok, and Connected TV for companies where the work has to look as good as it performs. Adweek named us one of the fastest growing agencies. We're fully remote with hubs in New York, Denver, and Toronto.

The role

Our creative team produces performance work at volume and does it well. We need the person who gives that volume a spine: someone who defines a brand's architecture, tells its story to the client, and leads the designers building inside it.

You'll own brand for one of our largest accounts from day one. You'll direct the creative team assigned to it, partner with our Creative Director on the agency's broader creative standards, and be the voice on client calls when brand work is on the table. The role expands across the roster as you build capacity.

What you'll do

  • Define brand architecture. Map how product lines, campaigns, and channels relate. Write the system: hierarchy, voice, visual rules, and where each applies. Hand designers something they can build inside without asking you every time.
  • Lead the account's creative team. Set direction, review work, give feedback that makes people better, and own the quality of what ships. You'll manage two to four designers.
  • Tell the brand's story to the client. Build the narrative before you build the deck. On calls, explain the concept, show the paths you rejected, and tie every choice to what the work has to do.
  • Own brand and presentation design. Pitch decks, brand site modules, event and booth materials, campaign concepts.
  • Keep the brand coherent across surfaces. When the ads, the deck, and the trade show booth look like three companies made them, that's yours to fix.
  • Push brand evolution. Clients want their brand to move forward but rarely say it. Read that and bring options before they ask.
  • Connect brand and performance. Work with media and creative strategists so the brand system and the ad output move together.

What we're looking for

  • Seven or more years in brand design or art direction, with at least two directing other designers.
  • A portfolio that leads with brand systems, architecture, and presentation work, not static ads.
  • You've presented your own work to clients and held your position under pressure without getting defensive.
  • You can write a brand narrative, not just design one.
  • Fluent in Figma & in the Adobe suite.
  • Experience with premium, luxury, or high AOV DTC brands. You understand why a $400 product needs different treatment than a $40 one.
  • You work well remote. You communicate in writing, close loops, and don't need checking on.

Our values

Act like an owner. Clarity over complexity. Serve clients' best interest. We win together, we lose together. Data-informed, human-led.

Perks and Benefits

  • Paid time off
  • Paid company holidays
  • Flexible Fridays
  • Remote first collaboration
  • Quarterly performance bonus potential
