Promac Consulting is seeking a Project Controls Engineer / Construction Scheduler to support our growing organization.
This position is primarily remote, with occasional travel. The ideal candidate is self-driven, technically strong in CPM scheduling, and comfortable supporting field and project management teams in a dynamic construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and update CPM construction schedules using Primavera P6
Prepare baseline schedules, periodic updates, and recovery schedules
Perform critical path, float, and logic analysis
Prepare schedule narratives and executive progress reports
Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, and subcontractors
Identify schedule risks and develop mitigation strategies
Support change management and Time Impact Analyses (TIAs)
Ensure schedule compliance with contract requirements and industry best practices
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
3+ years of experience in construction scheduling or project controls
Strong proficiency in Primavera P6
Experience supporting energy, power, industrial, or heavy civil projects
Strong analytical and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
PMP, PMI-SP, or PSP certification
Experience with cost-loaded schedules and earned value management
Experience supporting schedule recovery, TIAs, or claims analysis
Prior experience working with field teams on large infrastructure projects
