Guiding Light Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote Mental Health Counselor to join our telehealth team. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to provide essential mental health care to a diverse client population from the comfort of your own home. This full-time position requires a commitment to using structured therapeutic approaches, specifically Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to empower individuals as they navigate their mental health challenges.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing you to maintain a work-life balance while providing critical support to clients across Tampa, Florida, and beyond. You will have a flexible schedule from Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, without the burden of on-call responsibilities. Our advanced telehealth platform ensures a seamless experience for both therapists and clients, fostering a supportive and effective therapy environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct live video therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based CBT techniques tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with clients’ personal goals and mental health objectives.
  • Document client interactions and treatment progress within our user-friendly Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, streamlining workflows for effective patient management.
  • Participate in weekly consultation sessions to enhance therapeutic approaches and share insights within our collaborative team framework.
  • Utilize a range of self-guided mental health resources to support clients in their therapeutic journey, outside of scheduled session time.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse array of clients, including but not limited to individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related issues. Your comfort with and understanding of cultural diversity will be key in delivering effective mental health intervention.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work.
  • Possession of an active and independent license in Florida as an LMFT, LCMHC, or LCSW.
  • At least one year of professional experience in a counseling setting, preferably with two or more years of CBT-focused therapy.
  • Proficiency using digital tools and telehealth technology in therapeutic practice.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest mental health practices.
Preferred Experience
  • Strengthened expertise in CBT methods, with practical implications for a variety of psychological concerns.

Compensation and Benefits
