This role is primarily remote, eliminating geographical barriers and allowing our counselors to reach clients wherever they are. You will work from the comfort of your home while collaborating with a dedicated team of mental health professionals. • Conduct detailed assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for clients focusing on alcohol use and mental health challenges.
• Engage clients using evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing to facilitate positive change.
• Provide support through one-on-one therapy sessions and optional group therapy sessions, fostering a space for shared experiences and healing.
• Maintain electronic health records accurately and timely to ensure compliance with legal and organizational standards.
• Educate clients about community recovery options, guiding them in utilizing resources such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Smart Recovery, and Moderation Management.
• Participate in regular team meetings and peer support sessions to share insights and improve clinical practices.
• Encourage and facilitate the integration of community supports alongside our treatment offerings, reinforcing the holistic nature of recovery.

Your primary focus will be on individuals navigating alcohol dependency along with related mental health issues. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and include those seeking moderation strategies as well as those pursuing abstinence. Serving a range of ages and experiences, you will have the opportunity to impact individuals at various stages of their recovery journeys positively.

• LCSW, LCSW-R, LMFT, or LMHC licensed in the state of New York, with at least three years of clinical experience in a mental health setting.
• Comprehensive training, certification, and practical experience in CBT, DBT, case management, and trauma-informed care.
• In-depth understanding of harm reduction strategies and the ability to respectfully guide clients toward their treatment preferences.
• Strong clinical engagement skills paired with an empathetic approach towards patient interactions.
• Knowledgeable about community-based recovery options and the willingness to integrate these methods into treatment plans.

Experience in leading support groups or educational workshops is advantageous, along with familiarity with providing therapy in a remote setting. Your capacity to create engaging content for our clients and the broader community may be beneficial to those seeking additional support and resources.
