This position is remote within our NC, SC, VA footprint. Although this position is primarily remote, there are occasional events and meetings that may require you to workon-site at one of our Truliant locations.

Purpose of the Job

The IT Systems Analyst is a key contributor responsible for supporting the analysis, administration, and integration of systems to meet the organization's business and operational needs. This role works closely with business and IT teams to ensure technical solutions align with organizational objectives and deliver high-quality workflows and system performance. The IT Systems Analyst collaborates with stakeholders to assist in the deployment of deliverables and contributes to the development of efficient processes and practices.

This position requires a solid understanding of business operations and critical applications, as well as the ability to implement and support integrated software solutions. The IT Systems Analyst is involved in activities such as application engineering (requirements gathering, testing, and QA), vendor management, change management, and system integration. This role is focused on delivering reliable, effective solutions that enhance business operations and meet user needs.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Acts as an application administrator and subject matter expert (SME) for designated business applications.
  • Serves as Level-2 support for any critical business application related issues.
  • Utilizes the vendor client site, focus and advisory groups, and training events to stay informed of all applicable information about assigned core business applications.
  • Manages tickets, product configurations, and ongoing maintenance of assigned applications and services.
  • Assists with new product enhancements, including testing, hot fixes, and database refreshes.
  • Manages internal tickets to completion with little to no supervision.
  • Oversees the management and resolution of tickets opened with vendors for applications they administer.
  • Collaborates with Information Security, Database, and Infrastructure Services teams to configure and administer applications/products, ensuring reliability and security for all users and members.
  • Assists with after-hours support to implement business-critical updates and modifications. Assists with testing efforts, including functional, system, regression, and automated testing, and executes automated testing scripts.
  • Executes SQL queries to identify and resolve technical issues, collaborating with vendor support as needed.
  • Develops and maintains detailed technical documents, including workflows, technical specifications, data analysis, and updating end to end system documentation.
  • For non-corporate projects, assists with task creation and execution of tasks and provides insight and support to projects, as requested.
  • Works closely with project managers, business analysts, and other systems analysts to ensure successful system implementation.
  • Evaluates enhancements, releases, and new product offerings to identify and communicate business value and operational efficiencies.
  • Performs application upgrade planning, management, and implementation efforts involving cross-functional teams and vendors, ensuring successful outcomes and adheres to change control processes for all assigned applications. Provides work effort/estimates and actual hours for assigned tickets and project tasks. Monitors vendor/service provider performance to ensure quality and service levels are maintained.

  • Assists with other tasks and projects as assigned. Timely logging of time spent on project and task work.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must have a strong understanding of business processes, particularly within a credit union or financial institution context.
  • Must have excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Must have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Must have effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Must be able to work on multiple projects concurrently in fast paced and complex business environment under minimal supervision.
  • Must understand the security aspects of the application(s) in regards to user access, user roles, imported data, exported data and data storage.
  • Must have ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations exercising flexibility, critical thinking skills and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to get along with diverse personalities.
  • Must have strong organizational abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Must be familiar with data analysis tools such as SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Must be proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Project.
  • Must be able to work in a general office environment.
  • Must be flexible and able to shift resources and priorities as required
  • Should possess a strong commitment to providing excellent service to Truliant's members, both internal and external.

Physical Requirements

  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, and stooping required

Education and Background

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Systems Analyst, or equivalent role, preferably in financial services, banking, or credit unions required.
  • Experience with Fiserv software solutions preferred.
