Job description

Primacy is looking for a curious, ambitious Junior Designer to join our creative team and help bring bold ideas to life across digital experiences, campaigns, brands, and emerging platforms. This is an opportunity for an early-career designer who is passionate about great design, obsessed with the details, and excited to learn by working on a diverse mix of client challenges.
You'll collaborate with strategists, designers, writers, developers, and creative leaders to craft work that is both visually compelling and purpose-driven. From designing digital campaigns and social content to supporting website launches, brand systems, and marketing initiatives, you'll play an active role in turning ideas into polished creative.
While a significant part of the role involves executing and producing high-quality design assets, we're looking for someone who thinks beyond production. You should be eager to solve problems through design, contribute ideas, embrace feedback, and continuously explore new ways of working. Curiosity about AI-powered creative tools and emerging technologies is essential, along with a willingness to experiment, learn, and help shape the future of creative work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conceptual & Visual Thinking
  • Help solve client business challenges through thoughtful, strategic, and visually compelling design.
  • Contribute creative concepts and fresh ideas that strengthen brands, campaigns, digital experiences, and storytelling.
  • Apply strong visual design fundamentals with exceptional attention to craft, detail, and consistency.
  • Understand how design influences user behavior, engagement, and business outcomes, balancing creativity with performance.
  • Clearly communicate the thinking behind your work and confidently present design decisions in the context of project goals.
  • Stay curious about emerging design trends, AI-powered creative tools, and new technologies, bringing ideas that push both your work and our team forward.

Creative Design & Production
  • Design and produce high-quality creative across digital experiences, campaigns, branding, social, email, presentations, and print.
  • Transform creative concepts into polished, production-ready assets with exceptional attention to craft and detail.
  • Prepare, adapt, and optimize assets across channels, platforms, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure creative work is accurate, consistent, and aligned with brand standards and design systems.
  • Collaborate with designers, strategists, copywriters, developers, media planners, and project managers to deliver exceptional client work.
  • Contribute to a fast-paced creative environment while managing multiple projects and priorities.

AI-Assisted Creative Workflows
  • Support and experiment with AI tools for creative production, including layout variations, asset resizing, image exploration, and content adaptation
  • Help identify repetitive production tasks that may benefit from automation or AI-driven efficiency
  • Leverage emerging creative technologies to improve speed, consistency, and output quality
  • Apply responsible AI practices, including maintaining brand integrity and ensuring human review

What it takes to succeed in this role
  1. 1-3 years of relevant experience in graphic design, visual design, or production design
  2. Killer portfolio demonstrating real-world design problem-solving and production-quality work
  3. Demonstrate a strong understanding of core design principles, including typography, layout, color, composition, and visual hierarchy.
  4. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma
  5. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under tight timelines
  6. Ability to work within established brand guidelines and design systems
  7. Comfort learning new creative technologies and tools, including AI-assisted platforms
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience with motion design or basic animation (After Effects or other)
  2. Familiarity with preparing assets for web, social media, email, presentations, and print
  3. Exposure to accessibility best practices and responsive design principles
  4. Experience collaborating in agency or in-house creative environments
  5. Familiarity with tools such as Claude Design, ChatGPT, Adobe Firefly, generative AI tools, Canva, or similar technologies
  6. Understanding of creative production workflows, file management, and asset organization
  7. Experience working with cross-functional partners (developers, marketers, project managers)
  8. CPACC certification (preferred but not required)
