This full-time position, operating in a fully remote telehealth environment, provides clinical guidance to clients navigating the complexities of trauma recovery. As a vital member of our therapeutic team, you will engage with patients to facilitate healing and resilience, making a positive impact on their mental health journey.

About the Organization

Evergreen Care Behavioral and Health Wellness is a pioneer in providing comprehensive mental health services in Irvine, California. Our mission centers around offering specialized care to individuals affected by trauma, including those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. We are committed to fostering a safe and supportive environment where every client feels valued and understood. Our focus on trauma-informed methodologies positions us as leaders in mental health, dedicated to enhancing patient welfare and recovery.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing for a flexible work experience that caters to both the therapist's and patients' needs. While structured hours are generally Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some scheduling flexibility may be necessary to accommodate clients facing urgent mental health needs. As part of a progressive telehealth system, you will utilize state-of-the-art technology to engage with patients, ensuring a seamless therapeutic experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to gather comprehensive histories and identify suitable treatment options.
  • Develop and personalize treatment plans centered on trauma recovery and resilience, ensuring each plan is data-informed and adaptable to patient progress.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide patients through their healing journeys.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions designed to empower clients in processing trauma, honing coping strategies, and fostering a supportive community.
  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to create integrated care strategies that promote holistic patient well-being.
  • Provide crisis intervention and effective support in trauma-related emergencies, ensuring safety and instilling hope for recovery.
  • Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms, while actively offering resources for support.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential client documentation in accordance with legal requirements and ethical standards, using our electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Engage in team meetings, case consultations, and continuing education to enhance knowledge in trauma-informed care practices.
  • Stay current with research and advancements in trauma therapy, applying new findings to therapeutic practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily support trauma survivors who have faced significant challenges, including PTSD, complex trauma, and various dissociative disorders. Your work will focus on helping these clients reclaim their narratives and develop adaptive coping mechanisms, as well as provide them with a safe space to explore their experiences and emotions. Your compassionate approach will be instrumental in guiding them towards healing and a renewed sense of self.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Possession of current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is essential, particularly in trauma-focused therapies.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and competence in trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, showcasing a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.
  • Adeptness in using EHR systems and technology to facilitate patient care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team-oriented environment.
Preferred Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience focused on delivering trauma-specific therapies and interventions.
  • Proficiency in conducting comprehensive trauma assessments and developing tailored treatment plans.
  • Experience utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as EMDR and TF-CBT.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a robust benefits package, which includes:

  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits to support your overall well-being.
