Job description

Provn is hiring an Agentic Software Engineer II for a travel technology company building its platform on the latest AI-powered development tools. This is a mid-level, full-stack role where working alongside AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) is part of the daily workflow, not a side experiment.

Comp: Discussed at interview stage. Remote, US-based.

Apply directly here:

provn.co/org/arrivia/jobs/7bf95196-a0e0-4a73-97fa-6a6b92b7ba0f/agentic-software-engineer-ii?utm_source=dstribute&utm_medium=job+board&utm_campaign=arrivia-swe2

You'd be joining a team that's serious about treating agentic development as a real engineering discipline. At the II level, you're independently delivering well-scoped features from implementation through production, exercising real judgment on implementation approach and quality tradeoffs, and reviewing AI-generated code for correctness, security, and performance before it ships. You'll consult with senior engineers on architectural decisions and raise risks that need team-level discussion.

What you'll be doing:

  • Developing and shipping features and services across a full-stack travel platform
  • Using Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot in daily workflows to accelerate delivery and improve code quality
  • Reviewing and validating AI-generated code for correctness, security, and performance before merging
  • Contributing to refactoring and modernizing existing services using cloud-native design patterns
  • Writing clean, testable, peer-reviewed code, whether authored manually or with AI agents
  • Contributing to the development and operations of an increasingly distributed architecture
  • Advocating for quality, durability, and technical debt reduction with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, and Designers
  • Safeguarding the privacy and security of member data in partnership with Risk and Security teams
  • Contributing to backend and system SLOs as part of the broader engineering team

What we're looking for:

  • 3-5 years of full-stack development experience building web applications and services
  • 1+ year of hands-on experience using AI coding agents in professional development workflows
  • Proficiency in two or more of TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or C#/.NET
  • Solid experience with modern frontend frameworks: React, Next.js, Vue, or Angular
  • Experience building and deploying applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Strong foundation in RESTful API design and microservices architecture
  • Proficiency using AI coding agents to generate, refine, and debug code
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering techniques for code generation and development workflows
  • Awareness of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and how it enables AI agents to interact with external tools and data
  • Familiarity with real-time streaming or distributed messaging platforms like Redis, Kafka, or RabbitMQ
  • Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools
  • Agile software delivery experience
  • Strong communication, high collaboration, and genuine curiosity about the evolving agentic coding landscape
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Bonus points for working knowledge of Azure AI Foundry, RAG, LangChain, or graph-based data technologies (GraphRAG, GraphDB)

Must be authorized to work in the US. No visa sponsorship.
