Job Description e&e is seeking a Cross Team Engineering Specialist for a remote contract opportunity in Harrisburg, PA. The Cross-Team Engineering Specialist is a senior technical leader and force multiplier across the software engineering organization, acting as incident commander during critical production events while driving long-term platform reliability and resilience. This role blends rapid response engineering with strategic systems thinking to improve uptime, customer experience, and engineering velocity across multiple product teams.

Working at the intersection of engineering, infrastructure, QA, and operations, the specialist leads root cause analysis, delivers precision fixes, strengthens observability, and champions modernization initiatives across a C#/.NET and Angular digital platform. Responsibilities: Lead rapid escalation and resolution of high-impact production incidents, collaborating with QA, product, and support teams to restore service and capture actionable insights. Serve as incident commander during major outages, driving root cause analysis, post-mortems, and systemic remediation strategies

Deliver targeted, low-risk engineering fixes in C#/.NET and Angular that preserve system integrity and reduce long-term technical debt. Architect and continuously enhance observability and proactive anomaly detection frameworks using application monitoring and logging tools. Drive cross-functional technical alignment between engineering, infrastructure, QA, data, and core systems teams

Own end-to-end solutions with high autonomy, surfacing risks, decisions, and outcomes with clarity to stakeholders. Identify recurring system pain points and implement scalable, sustainable architectural solutions. Champion technical excellence by mentoring engineers, promoting CI/CD, testing, and code quality best practices.

Lead modernization and technical-debt-retirement initiatives to improve platform reliability, performance, and maintainability. Translate complex technical challenges for audiences ranging from engineers to executive leadership. Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours production support.

Requirements: 8-10 years of progressive experience in software engineering, platform reliability, or related technical leadership roles. Extensive experience working in regulated environments (e.g., financial services, healthcare, government) balancing compliance and agility. Deep expertise in C#/.NET, Angular, and modern software development methodologies

Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures (Azure preferred), highly available systems, and distributed application design. Strong background in application monitoring, logging, and performance analysis using tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, New Relic, and Serilog. Proven ability to refactor and modernize legacy systems.

Experience with Linux-based environments, containerization, and Node.js or React.js. Demonstrated ability to influence platform architecture and long-term engineering strategy across multiple teams. Strong understanding of security and regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, PCI-DSS)

Exceptional communication, accountability, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.
