Duration: 3 Months Short Term Contract with Strong possibility of conversion into full-time positions with in 2-3 months

Working hours: 7.5 Hours Daily

Job Description:

Drives the design, development, and maintenance of mainframe applications aligned with business objectives, enterprise architecture, and technology strategy. Applies strong understanding of business processes and technical architecture to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions.Ensures code and system configurations meet client standards for security, logging, performance, and resiliency. Evaluates technology choices, assesses impacts across systems and processes, and contributes to an efficient and sustainable application ecosystem. Focuses on delivering reliable, defect-free solutions while continuously improving systems and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Designs, develops, tests, and implements mainframe applications aligned with business and technology requirements. Translates business needs into detailed technical specifications and high-quality code. Ensures solutions meet enterprise standards for security, performance, and operational excellence. Analyzes system impacts across upstream and downstream dependencies. Supports production stability through root cause analysis and timely issue resolution. Evaluates and recommends improvements to technology, processes, and system efficiency. Builds scalable, maintainable, and reusable solutions aligned with enterprise objectives. Collaborates with business and technology stakeholders to deliver aligned outcomes. Reviews code and provides guidance to support team effectiveness and quality. Contributes to development standards, frameworks, and continuous improvement initiatives. Supports delivery of project outcomes and operational priorities. Mentors team members and contributes to knowledge sharing and capability development.

Qualifications

Typically 3–5 years of mainframe development experience or equivalent education. Strong experience with COBOL, CICS, PL/1, JCL, DB2, and VSAM. Familiarity with EASYTRIEVE and FOCUS Experience with Jira, Confluence, z/OS, and ServiceNow. Exposure to AI technologies and mainframe modernization is a strong asset. Experience working with CSF Designer is considered an advantage, but not mandatory.
