Koniag Advisory and Business Solutions, LLC a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Data Analytics & Visualization Engineer V to support KABS and our government customer in Washington, DC. The position is hybrid, requires 1 day onsite. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust.

Koniag Advisory and Business Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Data Analytics & Visualization Engineer V to support the Digital Workplace workforce by developing high-value dashboards, analytics products, and visual reporting capabilities. The ideal candidate will convert complex data into clear, accurate, and actionable insights for government stakeholders while ensuring products are reliable, accessible, well-documented, and aligned with enterprise data governance standards. Work will be performed at the client's facility or customer approved remote locations during Eastern Time core business hours.

The Data Analytics & Visualization Engineer V will lead the design and delivery of analytics and visualization solutions that help stakeholders understand performance, demand, service delivery, workforce, and operational trends.

Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards, reports, scorecards, semantic models, and visual analytics products for Digital Workplace stakeholders.
  • Translate business questions and operational needs into measurable analytics requirements, data models, and visualization designs.
  • Integrate curated data from Snowflake, data catalog platforms, enterprise applications, and other governed data sources.
  • Apply data quality, lineage, documentation, and validation practices to ensure analytics outputs are trusted and repeatable.
  • Create visualizations that are clear, accessible, Section 508-aware, and appropriate for executive, operational, and technical audiences.
  • Partner with architects, data engineers, business analysts, and product owners to align reporting solutions with platform roadmaps.
  • Support testing, release management, usage monitoring, and continuous improvement for analytics products.

Education and Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience developing enterprise analytics, BI, visualization, or reporting solutions.
  • Experience working with modern data platforms, SQL, dimensional models, data quality rules, and reporting lifecycle practices.

Desired:

  • Experience supporting federal government or regulated enterprise reporting environments.
  • Certification in Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Snowflake, or a comparable analytics platform.
  • Experience using cataloged, governed, or lineage-enabled data assets for analytics development.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Advanced dashboard and reporting development skills using Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or comparable visualization tools.
  • Strong SQL and data modeling skills with the ability to profile, validate, transform, and explain source data.
  • Ability to convert operational requirements into intuitive visual designs, KPIs, filters, drill paths, and user interactions.
  • Understanding of accessibility, usability, performance, and data governance considerations for enterprise reporting.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with stakeholders to refine analytics requirements and validate outputs.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Desired Skills and Competencies:

  • Experience with Power BI service administration, semantic models, deployment pipelines, or governed workspaces.
  • Experience integrating analytics products with ServiceNow, Atlassian, Snowflake, Microsoft 365, or data catalog platforms.
  • Familiarity with data storytelling, executive reporting, and operational performance management.
  • Knowledge of Agile delivery and backlog management for analytics product development.
