Job description

Job Description GIS Analyst Location: St. Charles, MO (Onsite) Duration: 6 Month Contract Description: The GIS Analyst is responsible for gathering, organizing, classifying, and processing remotely sensed data (RGB Imagery, Video, Multi-spectral, LiDAR, etc.) and GIS data for asset management using a variety of remote sensing tools, including but not limited to, Esri products. GIS Analyst will perform geospatial data analysis, creating various maps, applications (web, mobile, etc.) and continuously improve processes to support growing geospatial program requirements

Key responsibilities include: Gather, organize, and analyze geospatial data captured by remote sensing or other medium. QA/QC field datasets for accuracy, completeness and assure quality deliverables as related to remote sensing processes. Produce and maintain various GIS maps in ArcGIS Online (AGOL)/Portal for ArcGIS, surveys and other application technology to be used in gathering geospatial datasets.

Create delivery datasets for various stakeholders under the direction of Sr. Staff and as needed, including reports, geospatial image products (orthophotos, etc.), production mapping and data packages. Continuously work to integrate new processes into our Geospatial framework

Provide support in the management and maintenance of GIS environments and applications Develop and apply GIS solutions to meet customer requests Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with GIS and related software Assist in the development and delivery of training for system users 24/7/365 emergency and after-hours working requirements. This position is subject to emergency call-out, including damage assessment/inspection during emergency storm restoration events with potential for considerable walking over rough terrain in all weather conditions. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in GIS, Geography, Engineering Technology, Information Technology, or related technical field required.

Two or more years of GIS experience preferred. Experience with Esri based products is required. Experience with ArcGIS Online (AGOL)/Portal for ArcGIS and Esri mobile applications is preferred.

Experience with Model Builder or FME is a plus. In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate: Proven analytical skills, able to make sound decisions with ambiguous information and possess a high level of organizational skills; creative self-starter with strong interpersonal skills - able to work effectively as a team with various stakeholders at all levels of the organization; excellent communication skills, including presentation, written and verbal. Must be able to sit/stand for long periods and interact with a computer for long periods of time.

Additional Information This position requires the ability to lift up to 30 Lbs. and sit/stand for long periods in all weather conditions. Subject to 24X7X365 emergency call.

Periodic overnight stays required. Selection process includes a series of interviews. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates.
