Job description

Location: Remote, work from home (US-based)

Acadia is an industry leader in the e-commerce digital marketing space, managing the presence of brands and manufacturers on all major Amazon markets, Walmart.com, Instacart, Target, Kroger and Chewy.

We are looking for a Senior Retail Media Manager to continue our efforts as an industry leader by developing best-in-class advertising strategies focused on Amazon DSP and programmatic display campaigns in addition to Sponsored Ads. In this role, you'll work alongside a team of Retail Media Specialists to drive profitable sales growth for our clients while sharpening your programmatic expertise.
This role is programmatic-focused, with a key emphasis on Amazon DSP and AMC expertise to drive media strategy and performance across retail marketplaces.

As a Senior Retail Media Manager, you will have the opportunity to develop your DSP and AMC skills, staying ahead of the curve with new features and best practices. The role is both challenging and rewarding, allowing you to lead innovative retail strategies that push boundaries in a growing digital marketing company.

This position reports to the Retail Media Team Lead.

Media Strategy:

  • Manage complex accounts with over $5M in annual spend across the full funnel of Sponsored Ads and Amazon DSP while maintaining a focus on Amazon DSP and programmatic media buys.

  • Develop holistic, cross-channel media strategies aligned to brand objectives, measurement frameworks, and financial KPIs.

  • Leverage Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) to inform audience development, optimize performance, and guide full-funnel media recommendations.

  • Develop and deliver Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) that articulate performance insights, strategic opportunities, and long-term growth recommendations.

  • Manage the execution and ongoing maintenance of DSP strategy using Asana to track progress and manage timelines.

Client Relationships:

  • Demonstrate curiosity and ask insightful business questions to understand client goals, KPIs, and financial structures, driving data-backed recommendations for media spend allocations.

  • Communicate media strategies with clarity and confidence, connecting tactical execution to broader performance outcomes and ROI.

  • Act as a consultative partner, providing data-driven recommendations and transparent guidance across media investments.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage a team of Paid Media Specialists, delegating tactical campaign management, ensuring alignment with overarching account strategy.

  • Partner closely with Account Managers and internal teams to drive unified, cross-functional strategy execution.

  • Serve as the internal and external media expert, offering strategic insights that elevate both client outcomes and internal decision-making.

  • Support team development through coaching, feedback, and structured growth plans.

Retail Media Growth:

  • Contribute to Acadia's overall growth by developing new programmatic advertising strategies and expanding channel offerings, especially within DSP.

  • Identify, test, and evaluate emerging channel opportunities and beta programs, sharing insights to enhance Acadia's media offering.

  • Support new business efforts through strategic contributions to pitch materials and prospective media plans.

  • Share expertise within the company, contributing to internal training, thought leadership, and process development.

  • 5+ years of experience with full funnel Amazon Ads across Sponsored Ads and DSP

  • Deep, full, and firsthand experience leveraging the full capabilities of the Amazon DSP platform inclusive of 3rd party display inventory, offsite, STV, and audio ads

  • Beyond media buying, campaign optimization, and reporting, an established ability to develop, deliver, and sell omni-channel display media plans to Enterprise and Mid-tier advertisers

  • Experience and comfort working with advertiser budgets in excess of $2M/yr

  • Demonstrated ability to answer core business questions beyond the limited scope of media performance and efficacy

  • Experience with Amazon AMC - creating audiences and running instructional queries

  • 2+ years of experience working on Walmart, Target, Chewy or Instacart ads preferred

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Master storyteller using data and analysis to map strategy

  • Experience managing teams to execute strategy
