Drivers use the Amazon Flex app to schedule shifts, navigate routes, and manage deliveries. The position offers flexibility and the opportunity to earn income on your own schedule. However, it is important to note that deliveries cannot be made entirely from home; travel is required.

This full-time, remote position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of families by delivering quality therapy during critical after-school hours.

About the Organization

At Balanced Insight Counseling Services, we are committed to delivering comprehensive youth and family support aimed at empowering primary caregivers and enhancing the quality of life for children and teens with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Our mission is grounded in fostering resilience and building supportive environments that enable families to thrive. Work Environment

This role is designed to be fully remote, allowing you to deliver your expertise from the comfort of your home or an outpatient office setting. You will have the flexibility to connect with clients through various digital platforms for in-home family therapy sessions or meet them at our outpatient center. This dynamic setting empowers you to interact with diverse clients and contribute to their growth, all while receiving regular guidance and support from our collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate activities focusing on anger management, social skills development, and coping strategies to mitigate high-risk behaviors such as self-injury or physical aggression.
  • Support families by enhancing parenting decision-making skills to navigate and manage behavioral challenges arising in home settings.
  • Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professional disciplines to ensure continuity of care and comprehensive support for the child and family.
  • Complete and submit all documentation, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, within established deadlines.
  • Participate in monthly case review meetings to discuss ongoing cases, share insights, and develop actionable recommendations for client progress.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The demographic you will work with primarily includes children aged 3-20 who face developmental and intellectual disabilities. You will engage with a range of exceptional needs, promoting positive behavioral growth and stability both in therapeutic settings and at home, ultimately aiming to enhance the overall well-being of the child as well as their families.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required for this position.
  • An active and unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory.
  • Flexibility to provide therapy for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during crucial after-school time slots from 4-7 pm, with additional weekend hours being favorable.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are essential for commuting to outpatient office settings when required and for meeting clients.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, prior to employment.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with positive behavior support strategies is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience working closely with children and families, specifically those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is a major plus.
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish or Portuguese are preferred, enhancing your ability to connect with a broader client base.
Compensation and Benefits

This role offers an attractive annual salary ranging from USD 60,000 to 80,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We prioritize the well-being of our employees, providing a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Competitive salary with regular performance reviews.
  • Group Health Coverage to support your health and that of your family.
  • Annual Paid Time Off to ensure a proper work-life balance.
  • Ongoing job training and professional development opportunities promoting continuous learning and improvement.
  • Short and Long-Term Disability coverage for peace of mind.
  • A retirement savings plan (401K) to secure your financial future.
