Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients, establishing clear diagnoses and developing individualized treatment plans.
  • Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and family systems therapy, to best meet client needs.
  • Facilitate effective individual, couples, and group therapy sessions that promote open communication and stronger relationship dynamics.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care and support.
  • Maintain detailed and confidential clinical records utilizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems in adherence with HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in case consultations and supervision meetings to contribute to ongoing clinical learning and improvement.
  • Provide timely crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing severe emotional distress or emergencies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be serving a diverse range of clients, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. Specific focus will be given to couples seeking to improve their partnerships and families navigating complex dynamics. Your experience and skills as an LMFT will enable you to foster therapeutic alliances crucial to the healing process.

Qualifications
  • A valid Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license in the state of Oregon is required.
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience is preferred; however, motivated new graduates with adequate supervised clinical hours may also apply.
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in trauma-informed care and a range of treatment modalities, particularly CBT and solution-focused therapies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with a compassionate and empathetic approach toward clients.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems is considered an asset.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a community health setting.
  • Background in collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Hands-on experience in crisis intervention or related fields.
