Job description

We're hiring a full-stack engineer to focus on booking and integration capabilities AIVIA - our AI travel advisor operating system. Advisors use this platform to research, quote, close, and close trips. You'll own the layer that turns advisor intent (and increasingly, AI-generated itineraries) into real, ticketed bookings through the GDS and travel supplier APIs.

This is a small-team, high-leverage role. You'll report directly to the CEO, work alongside a focused product and engineering group, and ship something the business actively depends on. Decisions get made in days, not quarters. Whatever you design, you ship.

What you'll build
  • The integration layer between AIVIA and the GDS & travel APIs - fares, availability, PNRs, queues, ticketing, and the messy edges between them.
  • The data model for itineraries, segments, and pricing that the rest of the platform (and our AI tools) build on top of.
  • The booking flows that AIVIA's AI agents call into when they construct trips for advisors. You won't be training models - you'll be the engineer who makes AI-generated bookings actually work in production.
  • The instrumentation, retries, and failure handling that keep the engine trustworthy at scale.
What success looks like
  • 90 days: initial supplier api integration points embedded into CRM and trip planning products.
  • 6 months: Initial GDS and booking api coverage for our priority products and suppliers, AIVIA agents converting proposals to booked components with minimal human involvement.
What we need
  • Direct GDS API experience - Sabre, Travelport+/Galileo, or Amadeus. This is non-negotiable. The GDS is the part of the job we can't teach you quickly, so you need to bring real production experience with at least one of them.
  • 3+ years building production web applications.
  • React or Next.js and modern component patterns on the front end.
  • Postgres (or equivalent) and strong data modeling instincts - booking data is unforgiving.
  • Solid grounding in auth, security, and PII handling.
  • Practical testing and CI/CD discipline.
  • Fluency with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Copilot) and a real opinion about when to use them, when not to, and how to keep them honest. We are an AI-augmented engineering org and we want people who already work this way.
How we work

- Lean, outcome-driven, short cycles.

- Heavy instrumentation and frequent feedback from real travel advisors.

- You report directly to the CEO. Small team, real ownership, no layers.

Requirements

  • Direct GDS API experience - Sabre, Travelport+/Galileo, or Amadeus. This is non-negotiable. The GDS is the part of the job we can't teach you quickly, so you need to bring real production experience with at least one of them.

  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English at a level necessary to perform the essential functions of the role.

Benefits

  • Employer-Sponsored Medical and Dental Insurance with Employee Contribution
  • Fully-Funded Life Insurance (1x salary) & LTD (Long-Term Disability Insurance)
  • Optional Employee-Paid Vision Insurance and STD (Short-Term Disability Insurance)
  • 401k with up to 4% Company Match
  • Paid Time Off + Company Holidays
