Summary:

The Automation Engineer 3's primary responsibilities are designing, building, deploying, and supporting enterprise-grade automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Dataverse, APIs, and related technologies.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Primary duty involves design work, specifically designing tailored automation solutions to meet specific client or business requests using Power Platform, Copilot Studio, and related automation technologies.
  • Leads automation solutions end-to-end, including discovery, requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and production support.
  • Partners with business stakeholders to assess automation opportunities, define requirements, document scope, and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Frequently anticipates problems, analyzes potential risks, and recommends mitigation strategies to ensure solutions are secure, reliable, maintainable, and production ready.
  • Articulates the business value and impact of advanced technical and non-technical information and understands when to escalate issues.
  • Provides effective production support, including accurate problem identification, root cause analysis, ticket documentation, issue resolution, and customer/vendor dialogue.
  • Documents small- to medium-scale projects and delivers presentations with minimal supervision.
  • Dissects complex situations and refocuses on critical technology tasks.
  • Creates and optimizes business process automations using Power Automate.
  • Designs, develops, and manages custom business applications using Power Apps, including Canvas and Model-Driven apps.
  • Develops, manages, and maintains AI-powered chatbots and virtual agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio.
  • Leverages Copilot Studio to create conversational experiences that integrate with back-end systems, including Dataverse, Azure services, APIs, custom connectors, and legacy applications.
  • Designs scalable, secure, and maintainable automation solutions that may include Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Dataverse, SQL, APIs, custom connectors, JSON, SharePoint, Teams, Azure/AWS services, and other enterprise systems as needed.
  • Integrates Power Platform solutions with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other Microsoft or third-party services.
  • Applies automation development best practices, including error handling, testing, documentation, monitoring, governance, security, and application lifecycle management.
  • Stays current with new features and roadmap developments across Power Platform and Microsoft AI capabilities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years' automation and AI development experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High degree of technical expertise/professional mastery to recommend process improvements
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in agile and cross-functional team environments.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Copilot Studio, including chatbot authoring, trigger phrases, topics, entities, and integration with external data sources and APIs.
  • Experience with Dataverse, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Azure Logic Apps or Azure Functions.
  • Familiarity with Power Fx, low-code expressions, and custom connectors.
  • Basic scripting knowledge (JavaScript, PowerShell, or C#) is a plus.
  • Experience with AI Builder, Copilot integrations, or Azure Open AI services is a strong plus.
  • Experience in UX/UI design for apps and chatbot experiences.
  • Understanding of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and DevOps practices for Power Platform.
  • Microsoft Certifications such as:
    • PL-100: Power Platform App Maker
    • PL-200: Power Platform Functional Consultant
    • PL-400: Power Platform Developer
    • PL-900: Power Platform Fundamentals

Compensation Range:

$70,000.00 -$154,000.00 Annual Salary

The compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
