• Conducting thorough initial assessments and compiling detailed case documentation from the first consultation through the treatment process.
• Evaluating clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health to inform treatment decisions.
• Designing customized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitating impactful individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based techniques to promote healing.
• Monitoring and documenting clients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Working in close collaboration with other healthcare professionals—including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers—to align treatment approaches and improve comprehensive care.
• Providing continued support and follow-up for clients referred to hospitalization, collaborating with medical staff to ensure consistent care.
• Identifying behaviors and thought patterns that may hinder recovery and proactively addressing them within therapy sessions.
• Guiding family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing the mental and behavioral challenges faced by their loved ones.

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Proven experience in a clinical counseling setting, demonstrating a thorough understanding of mental health issues.
• Ability to utilize electronic health record systems, with a preference for prior experience with systems like AVATAR.
• Knowledge of the interplay between physical health, emotional well-being, and addiction.
• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices is desirable.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to connect with clients and colleagues alike.
• Empathetic approach and strong interpersonal skills that reflect a compassionate nature.

• Experience working with complex cases that involve co-occurring disorders.
• Previous exposure to family systems therapy or group dynamic methodologies is highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of pharmacological interventions prescribed by physicians, and their effects on mental health treatment.
