Remote Aligner Jobs in Quebec (NOW HIRING)

Remote Aligner information

What is a remote aligner?

A Remote Aligner job typically involves reviewing digital dental impressions and treatment plans for clear aligners, such as Invisalign or other orthodontic brands. Professionals in this role ensure that aligners are correctly designed to guide teeth into their desired positions. This job is often performed by dental professionals, such as orthodontists, dentists, or trained technicians, who work remotely using specialized software. It allows flexibility while still contributing to patient treatment plans and outcomes.

What does a remote aligner do?

A typical workday for a Remote Aligner involves reviewing digital scans or impressions, creating or modifying aligner treatment plans using specialized software, and consulting virtually with dentists or orthodontists as needed. Communication with dental teams often takes place through secure telehealth platforms, with occasional video meetings or messaging to discuss patient progress or clarify treatment objectives. While direct patient interaction may be limited, Remote Aligners frequently provide written treatment instructions and collaborate closely with clinicians overseeing patient care. This structured remote workflow allows for flexibility, but also requires a high degree of self-motivation and strong organizational skills to deliver accurate, timely results.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a remote aligner?

To thrive as a Remote Aligner, you need a strong understanding of orthodontic principles, dental anatomy, and experience with clear aligner therapy, preferably backed by dental or orthodontic credentials. Familiarity with digital orthodontic planning software, such as Invisalign ClinCheck or 3Shape, and proficiency with telehealth platforms are commonly required. Excellent attention to detail, clear written communication, and the ability to work independently are valuable soft skills for this role. These skills ensure the accurate creation and adjustment of treatment plans, effective remote collaboration, and high-quality patient care.
