What is a Remote AI Coding Trainer?

A Remote AI Coding Trainer is a professional who teaches individuals or groups how to code artificial intelligence (AI) systems, typically through online platforms. They create lesson plans, provide coding exercises, and guide students in understanding AI concepts such as machine learning, neural networks, and data analysis. Working remotely, these trainers use video conferencing, online coding environments, and digital resources to deliver instruction and feedback. Their role is crucial in helping learners acquire in-demand AI skills while offering the flexibility of remote education.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote AI Coding Trainer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote AI Coding Trainer, you need advanced knowledge of programming languages (such as Python), machine learning concepts, and a degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with online learning platforms, Jupyter Notebooks, version control systems like Git, and relevant AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is essential. Exceptional communication, patience, and the ability to simplify complex topics are critical soft skills for engaging and supporting remote learners. These skills and qualities enable trainers to effectively teach cutting-edge AI concepts, adapt to diverse student needs, and foster a productive virtual learning environment.

What are some common challenges faced by Remote AI Coding Trainers, and how can they be addressed?

Remote AI Coding Trainers often encounter challenges such as maintaining student engagement in a virtual environment and adapting teaching methods to diverse learning styles. Effective communication and the use of interactive teaching tools are key to overcoming these hurdles. Additionally, trainers must stay updated with rapidly evolving AI technologies to provide relevant instruction. Building a supportive online community and providing regular feedback can help foster collaboration and ensure learner success.

Job description

About the Company
At BenefitHub, our commitment is to offer employee perks and voluntary benefits that give real value to employees, focusing on enhancing the quality of their daily lives. We continuously strive to add unique and exciting values to the offers available to our members, partnering with a diverse range of global brands to achieve this.
This role provides a unique opportunity to become part of one of the fastest-growing benefits technology companies in the US, with expanding influence globally. Join our mission to improve the daily life of millions by providing access to the world's largest selection of personally relevant benefits. By contributing to our goal of becoming the most widely used benefits platform, you will be enhancing the lives of millions of people around the globe.
BenefitHub does not currently offer H-1B Sponsorship
Position Summary:
Summary: Our Back End Developer develops and maintains the C#/.NET services, APIs, and data-processing applications that power our global, multi-region benefits platform. You'll be working alongside other engineers, developers and testers, collaborating on the various layers of the infrastructure to develop and deliver a world-class solution for our global platform. The candidate will interact with the Team Leads on a daily basis, receiving guidance on technical approach and work priorities and providing status and other feedback as requested. This position requires a wide range of technical development, design, and multitasking skills centered around data processing, API development, and third-party integrations.
AI-augmented engineering is core to how this team works. Our developers use AI coding agents (Claude Code) daily to plan, implement, debug, document, and review changes - and are expected to direct those agents effectively and stand behind every line they ship. Code review is a first-class responsibility of this role, not an afterthought: you will be a regular reviewer on pull requests across multiple repositories, including AI-assisted code, and your reviews are expected to catch real defects and articulate root causes.
Competencies:
Develop a solid understanding of the SDLC process. Have advanced skills and knowledge in your domain. Good familiarity with intersecting domains. Ability to handle complex tasks with high-level guidance. Ability to solve blocking issues on your own the majority of the time. Ability to direct AI coding agents productively and critically evaluate their output rather than accept it at face value. Ability and desire to help other team members with problem solving, testing, code review or other requests as needed. Be an active participant in the dev team, bringing forward your own ideas.
Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain C# applications and services using best practices and patterns - web applications, Web APIs, Azure Functions, Windows Services, and scheduled/batch processing jobs.
  • Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs (JSON and XML) consumed by web, mobile, and partner integrations.
  • Develop and tune SQL Server stored procedures, advanced queries, and data-manipulation processes against large datasets.
  • Build and support third-party integrations such as SSO, payment providers, CRM, and email/notification pipelines - including understanding and correctly applying each vendor API's semantics and contracts.
  • Use AI coding agents (Claude Code or similar) as a daily part of the development workflow: feature implementation, debugging, test generation, and pull request preparation.
  • Perform substantive code reviews on teammates' pull requests: verify changes against ticket acceptance criteria, validate assumptions against real data, identify root causes rather than symptoms, and provide clear, prioritized, actionable written feedback - including on AI-generated code.
  • Write clear pull request descriptions that document the problem, root cause, fix, and test plan.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to design and launch new features, including staged rollouts behind feature flags across multiple regions.
  • Maintain quality, responsiveness, code integrity and organization.
  • Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git and Azure DevOps.

Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working with C# and the .NET ecosystem.
  • 3+ years of experience working with MSSQL Server: Stored Procs, Advanced Queries, and Triggers.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs using XML and JSON.
  • Hands-on experience using AI coding agents (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar) in real production development workflows - required. Candidates should be able to demonstrate how they direct an agent through a non-trivial change and how they validate its output.
  • Demonstrated code review experience: able to read unfamiliar code, evaluate applications, identify issues, and articulate solutions in writing.
  • Data manipulation of varying formats and sizes.
  • Experience with Azure (Functions, Blob Storage, Application Insights, serverless architectures) preferred.
  • Windows Services and scheduled tasks preferred.
  • Experience with multi-tenant or multi-region platforms preferred.
  • Experience with Git version control.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative.
  • Good organizational skills, with a disciplined approach to implementation, support and documentation.

  • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO)

  • 11 Holidays (Including office closed day after Thanksgiving)
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Flexible work schedules
