This is a remote position.

Paradigm is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support our client, a global leader in the legal services industry. This role will focus primarily on hands-on development of high-volume, mission-critical web applications using C#/.NET, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, AngularJS, and SQL Server.

The Senior Software Engineer participates throughout the software development lifecycle, contributes to technical design and architecture decisions, and serves as a technical resource and mentor to other developers. This position will also collaborate closely with department leadership, analysts, and business teams to translate requirements into reliable, scalable software solutions.

Type: 12-month contract

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle using Agile/Scrum methodologies, including requirements analysis, software design, prototyping, development, debugging, testing, and production support.
  • Design, develop, debug, test, and deliver scalable enterprise web applications.
  • Participate in technical design and implementation decisions.
  • Identify and proactively raise concerns when requirements or specifications may negatively affect software quality, system performance, scalability, or architecture.
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, business stakeholders, and other cross-functional team members.
  • Troubleshoot complex application and technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Take a self-directed, proactive approach to problem-solving and software development.
  • Serve as a technical resource and mentor to other software engineers.
  • Contribute technical expertise and best practices to improve application quality, maintainability, and performance.


Requirements
Our ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience using C#/.NET.
  • 3+ years of experience developing web applications using ASP.NET.
  • Experience developing multi-tier applications or components for high-volume systems.
  • Strong experience with SQL Server.
  • Experience working within an Agile/Scrum software development environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience mentoring developers and/or providing technical leadership.
  • Prior experience leading or supporting software development teams.
The following experience is highly desirable:

  • ASP.NET MVC
  • ASP.NET Web API
  • Entity Framework
  • AngularJS or a similar client-side JavaScript framework
  • Load-balancing technologies
  • Development of high-volume, mission-critical enterprise applications
