  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and other applicable privacy and confidentiality standards.
  • Exercise sound judgment when addressing sensitive client situations and complex care-related concerns.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external organizations as needed to support client outcomes.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) or a minimum of five years of related experience in hospital systems, hospice care, geriatric care management, or a closely related field.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems and care coordination processes.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations, third-party payer systems, CPT codes, and healthcare documentation requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication, active listening, and client engagement skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, composure, empathy, and sound judgment when working with clients experiencing challenging circumstances.
  • Knowledge of medical billing processes and healthcare reimbursement systems.
  • Experience supporting individuals with special needs and their families.
  • Familiarity with Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services and functionality.
  • Experience working with Disability Review Organizations (DROs) and related healthcare advocacy processes.
  • Exceptional client service and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to explain complex healthcare information in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Strong problem-solving and resource research capabilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Effective critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with remote communication technologies and standard office software applications.

Company Perks:

  • We don’t want you to wait - Immediate medical (Blue Cross/Blue Shield), dental, and vision insurance is available
  • Self-Care is a top priority – We offer desirable work schedules and a generous amount of Paid Time Off
  • Thinking about your future? – We have a 401(k)-retirement program with a company match
  • Of course, we know that life happens - Employee Assistance Program (EAP) benefits are available to you and your family
