Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments of clients to understand the severity, frequency, and duration of their mood disorder symptoms, tailoring each evaluation to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate with clients to co-create personalized treatment plans that align with their goals and preferences while utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Deliver structured therapeutic sessions that provide clients with coping strategies, tools, and resources beneficial to managing their conditions.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies, thereby promoting a supportive home environment.
  • Regularly monitor clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect changes or challenges faced during the therapeutic process.
  • Engage in collaborative practice with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and integrated care for all clients.
  • Remain informed about the latest research and developments in treating mood disorders, implementing new findings into practice to enhance service delivery.
  • Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering strictly to ethical and legal standards.
  • Participate in continuous professional development activities, including team meetings, case consultations, and therapeutic workshops to advance your clinical skills and stay updated on best practices.
  • Act as a committed advocate for clients, working towards destigmatizing mood disorders and promoting mental health awareness in the community.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be primarily working with individuals grappling with mood disorders, including depression, anxiety-related disorders, and bipolar disorder. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, each bringing unique life experiences and challenges. Your role will be critical in providing tailored support that leads to improved mental well-being and overall quality of life.

Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid license to practice as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within the state of Arizona.
  • Proven expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, specifically CBT and DBT.
  • A strong understanding of psychopharmacology to effectively collaborate with psychiatrists and other medical professionals in client care.
  • Demonstrated success in treating mood disorders and achieving positive client outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients from various backgrounds.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a community health clinic setting is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with telehealth practices and tools to enhance remote therapeutic engagement.
  • Prior involvement in educational outreach or advocacy work related to mental health issues.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
