Position Overview

Garden Path Counseling is on the lookout for a compassionate and highly skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dedicated team. This full-time, remote position offers the opportunity to work within a supportive hospice center environment where you will play a vital role in providing mental health care to patients and their families during some of life's most challenging moments. The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong commitment to helping individuals navigate mental health issues and demonstrate proficiency in various therapeutic approaches.

About the Organization

At Garden Path Counseling, we are committed to delivering empathetic, quality mental health services tailored to the unique needs of our patients. Our hospice center is located in Pleasant Unity, Pennsylvania, and provides a supportive atmosphere where individuals can find peace and comfort through therapy. We believe that mental health is a crucial component of overall well-being and strive to create a collaborative, inclusive culture among our staff. We value every member of our team and prioritize their professional growth and personal satisfaction.

Work Environment

This role is primarily remote, allowing you the flexibility to manage your schedule while working in a meaningful environment. As a part of a hospice center, you will have the unique experience of caring for patients at end-of-life stages โ€” an opportunity that requires sensitivity, compassion, and an understanding of the complexities surrounding grief and mental health. Our team communicates regularly through virtual platforms, ensuring connection and collaboration among colleagues, while engaging in continuous training to enhance skill sets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that address mental health challenges and emotional needs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment updates in our electronic health record system.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide holistic care and support for patients and their families, ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to diverse patient needs, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness strategies.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed to support patients and loved ones navigating acute mental health issues.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients who are facing life-limiting illnesses, along with their families, addressing a wide array of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, grief, and existential distress. The sensitivity of this role is central to our mission: helping individuals cultivate resilience and navigate their emotional landscapes during difficult transitions.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is required.
  • An active and current Pennsylvania LCSW license is mandatory.
  • At least two years of relevant clinical experience, particularly in a mental health or hospice setting.
  • Proficient in the use of electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and tracking patient progress.
Preferred Experience
  • Training in motivational interviewing and crisis intervention techniques.
  • Experience with child and adolescent mental health, especially in a therapeutic or educational context.
  • A background in outpatient therapy, particularly in managing cases involving grief and loss.
  • Knowledge of gender-specific issues and counseling approaches is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes health and vision insurance, a retirement savings plan with 401(k) matching, generous paid time off, and opportunities for professional training and development. Supportive supervision and feedback are integral to our work environment, fostering growth and skill enhancement.

Career Growth Opportunities

At Garden Path Counseling, we are invested in the professional development of our team members. You will have access to ongoing training and education that not only enhance your clinical skills but also prepare you for advanced roles within the organization. Our culture encourages career advancement through mentorship and support for obtaining advanced certifications relevant to your role.

Why Join Our Team

Joining Garden Path Counseling means becoming part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to improving the lives of those facing significant emotional challenges. You will play a crucial role in guiding individuals through their mental health journeys, making a meaningful impact on both patients and their families. If you are committed to compassionate care and eager to make a difference in a supportive environment, we welcome your application.

Application Information

If you possess the qualifications and are passionate about mental health care within a hospice setting, we invite you to apply.
