The Opportunity

As a Training & Development Specialist within Hitachi Energy's Grid Integration business, you will support the development of workforce capabilities that contribute to the safe, consistent, and effective operation of power grid solutions. In this role, you will develop and deliver training programs across technical, functional, and general workplace topics. You will work closely with global teams to identify learning needs, align training programs with global strategy, and ensure training solutions support business priorities.

You will manage the full training lifecycle, from planning and content development to delivery and evaluation, using a variety of training methods such as workshops, virtual sessions, and digital learning tools. Your work will help improve knowledge transfer, strengthen process understanding, and support consistent application of systems and tools across teams. By measuring training effectiveness and driving continuous improvement, you will contribute to the reliability, performance, and readiness of teams operating in complex power grid environments. This role also offers the opportunity to support graduate development initiatives, providing exposure to early career program coordination and engagement activities within the energy sector.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Develop and maintain training curriculum and materials for technical, functional, and general workforce programs

  • Deliver training sessions using multiple formats, including instructor-led, virtual, and digital learning methods

  • Identify business-critical learning needs and align training plans with global strategy and priorities

  • Manage the full training lifecycle, including planning, development, deployment, and evaluation of training programs

  • Coordinate with external vendors and internal partners to support training content development and delivery

  • Track training participation, collect feedback, and improve programs based on performance data and evaluations

  • Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to manage content, monitor learner progress, and generate reports

  • Support the Power 2 Graduate Program by coordinating onboarding, training activities, and program communications

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, Engineering or related field required
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in training, including developing, formatting, and preparing training materials
  • Experience delivering training programs across multiple delivery formats
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging Learning Management Systems (LMS) to administer training programs, track learner engagement, and analyze completion data
  • Experience collaborating with global teams and aligning initiatives with global strategy
  • Flexibility to work across time zones to effectively collaborate with global teams
