Remote Adhd Testing Jobs in Chicago, IL (NOW HIRING)

Remote Adhd Testing information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote ADHD Testing Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote ADHD Testing Specialist, you need a background in psychology or a related mental health field, often supported by licensure or certification in clinical assessment. Familiarity with telehealth platforms, standardized ADHD assessment tools (like the Conners or Vanderbilt scales), and secure electronic health records systems is typically required. Strong communication, empathy, and attention to detail are essential soft skills for building rapport with clients and accurately interpreting assessment data. These competencies ensure reliable diagnoses, effective patient care, and adherence to privacy regulations in a remote environment.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals conducting remote ADHD testing, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals conducting remote ADHD testing often encounter challenges such as ensuring accurate observation of behaviors in a virtual setting, managing technical issues, and maintaining client engagement during assessments. To address these, it's important to use validated digital assessment tools, establish clear communication with clients about the testing process, and be prepared to troubleshoot common technical problems. Building rapport remotely and providing clear instructions can also help maintain the reliability of the assessment. Collaboration with caregivers or family members may be necessary to gather comprehensive background information.

Remote Adhd Testing focuses on diagnosing ADHD through online assessments by licensed psychologists, often in telehealth settings. Remote Neuropsychologists conduct detailed cognitive and brain function evaluations, which may include ADHD testing but also cover broader neuropsychological assessments. While both roles operate remotely and require licensed professionals, neuropsychologists provide more extensive evaluations beyond ADHD diagnosis.

What is remote ADHD testing?

Remote ADHD testing is a process where individuals are evaluated for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) through online platforms rather than in-person visits. This usually involves digital questionnaires, virtual interviews with mental health professionals, and sometimes computerized cognitive tests. Remote testing offers convenience and accessibility for those who may have barriers to traditional in-office assessments. However, it is important that these evaluations are conducted by qualified professionals to ensure accuracy and proper diagnosis.

  • Collaborate & Consult: Participate in a warm, team-oriented environment where case consultation and peer support are highly encouraged.
  • Flexible Setup: Choose to work out of our Westmont office (Quail Ridge Dr), our Chicago office (W Jackson Blvd), or create a hybrid schedule that works for you.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • A Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology (PsyD or PhD) from an APA-accredited program.
  • Active, unrestricted license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist in the state of Illinois (or currently license-eligible).
  • The ability and desire to conduct psychological assessments (this is highly valued and a huge plus for our team!).

  • Supportive Leadership: A leadership team that genuinely cares about your mental health and guards against clinician burnout.
  • Flexibility & Autonomy: Flexible scheduling to ensure a healthy work-life balance.
  • Competitive Compensation & Benefits: Medical/Vision/Dental Insurance, 401K, CEU Stipends, Paid Time Off and more
  • Beautiful Office Spaces: Modern, comfortable, and welcoming offices in both the Western Suburbs and downtown Chicago, plus robust telehealth infrastructure.
