The Down South Counseling Center is actively seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs) to join our team on a full-time basis. This position is entirely remote, allowing our Mental Health Counselors to effectively utilize technology to provide care from the comfort of their own environments. With a regular work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, you will enjoy a balanced life while contributing to positive client outcomes through innovative telehealth practices. • Conduct thorough clinical assessments of clients to accurately determine their mental health needs and formulate individualized treatment plans.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment strategies tailored to each client's unique goals, utilizing therapeutic techniques that resonate with their experiences.
• Facilitate individual, couples, and group counseling sessions that address addiction and other mental health issues, fostering supportive and open dialogues.
• Collaborate seamlessly with interdisciplinary treatment teams to ensure comprehensive and equitable client care, embracing resources from various specialties.
• Maintain detailed and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring data integrity and privacy in all interactions.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through clinical supervision and case conference participation, to enhance your skills and stay updated with the latest therapeutic methodologies.

You will work with a client base that reflects the rich diversity of the Tacoma community, providing culturally sensitive and individualized care. • A Master’s Degree in a mental health or counseling-related field is essential.
• Possession of an Independent Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license is a critical requirement.

• Experience in addiction therapy and trauma-informed care will be highly valued.
• Prior work in a remote or telehealth setting is a plus, showcasing adaptability and tech-savvy skills.
