Job description

NOTE:  THIS IS A LOS ANGELES BASED POSITION.  It is not fully-remote.  The individual must be able to report to LENAX's Corporate Offices in Los Angeles, CA on a daily basis.  A Hybrid Schedule may be available upon approval by senior management!  LENAX does not pay for relocation or travel expenses for interviews.

(LENAX) has provided quality construction services and project controls to a diverse range of engineering, design, and construction firms.  LENAX services a broad range of markets, including airports, transportation, industrial, correctional, universities, and marine.  LENAX is a goal-oriented and customer-driven independent consulting business, aimed at adding value and strength to our clients' program teams by providing expertise in current pricing and economic trends, while utilizing the most up to date means and methods in the construction and design industries.

Position Description Summary:

LENAX is looking for a Senior Scheduler.  The Senior Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and managing all scheduling activities for major capital projects.

Key Identifiers for the Position:

  • Mastery of Primavera P6 Scheduling Software;
  • Minimum, ten (10) years of scheduling experience, with eight (8) plus years in direct support of an active construction project--preferably public works, transportation sector projects (aviation, rail, light rail, rail yards, underground Civil, Ports)--broad-based business sector experience is preferred; and,
  • A four (4)-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related technical field.

 

Essential Job Duties

  • Coordinate preparation of cost reduction, value engineering, and risk assessment recommendations for project cost effectiveness.
  • Assist in determining the scheduling sequence for Pre-construction phase (design, bidding, and awarding construction and professional services contracts) and the Construction phase (engineering, construction, testing and startup) to achieve the schedule project completion.
  • Prepare "what if" plans (sensitivity analysis); and analyze and provide alternatives and expected outcomes to avoid potential project schedule delays and potential claims.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules to establish optimal contract interfaces and determine activity relationships to accurately plan project completion.
  • Employ quantitative engineering models, to implement performance measurement reporting and forecasting of project budget, finance and schedule.
  • Provide comprehensive reports and project cost updates
  • Prepare and review special studies, cost/schedule forecast and time impact analyses.
  • Review and provide recommendations

Position Specifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or other related Technical Field.
  • Minimum, ten (10) years' Project Controls experience directly supporting large, civil projects.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet, graphics, database management and word processing software.
  • Strong transit experience required.
  • Experience with Primavera Project Planner is required.
  • AACE International Certification is desirable.

Compensation - Total Rewards:

Based upon a candidate's skills, capabilities, experience, education, and directly-applicable experience, the compensation for this position ranges from $60 - $80/hr. ($124,800.00 - $166,400.00) + full benefits.
