Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual counseling sessions with clients through video conferencing, working collaboratively to enhance their mental health and emotional well-being.
• Fostering an environment where clients feel safe to discuss their feelings, emotions, and life experiences to cultivate self-awareness and improve interpersonal relationships.
• Acting as an advocate for clients by helping them set and achieve their personal and therapeutic goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your caseload will primarily consist of stable adult clients who are low acuity and have undergone a careful screening process prior to booking with you. This ensures engaging with clients who can actively participate in their treatment and are seeking guidance to navigate everyday challenges. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with clients whose needs align with your specific areas of expertise.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualifications:

• Education: A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Licensing: You must hold a full, unrestricted license in your state to practice independently as one of the following: LMFT, LPC, or LCSW. Please note that provisional licenses will not be accepted.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in the use of digital platforms for therapy and documentation, as well as good general computer literacy.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills coupled with a compassionate and empathetic nature.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, additional experience such as supervisory roles or specialization in particular therapeutic practices will enhance your candidacy. Ideally, applicants should have a minimum of two years of experience in mental health counseling.
