Job description

Position Overview

JUS Official Services is seeking a motivated Business Directory Acquisition Partner responsible for sourcing, pitching, and onboarding businesses into the JUS Official Services Business Directory Program.

This role focuses specifically on finding businesses, organizations, agencies, and professionals who would benefit from paid directory listings and converting them into active, paying subscribers across all listing tiers (Basic through Elite).

You are not selling internal services, you are building revenue for the Business Directory ecosystem by onboarding external businesses into the platform.

This is a commission-only independent contractor role with recurring income potential tied to subscription renewals and tier upgrades.

Core Objective

Your primary responsibility is to:

  • Find businesses that need visibility
  • Convince them to join the JUS Business Directory
  • Drive ongoing subscription revenue through listing tiers

Target Clients

You will actively seek out businesses such as:

  • Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs)
  • Startups and new ventures
  • Marketing and creative agencies
  • Talent agencies and entertainment companies
  • Creator-focused service providers
  • Local service businesses
  • Venues, studios, and event spaces
  • E-commerce brands
  • Professional service providers (legal, consulting, finance, etc.)
  • Freelancers and independent operators
  • Hospitality and lifestyle businesses
  • Gaming, media, and digital brands

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify businesses that would benefit from online visibility and directory exposure.
  • Conduct outbound outreach via email, social media, LinkedIn, and direct messaging.
  • Present the JUS Business Directory Program clearly and persuasively.
  • Educate prospects on tier benefits and visibility advantages.
  • Close businesses into paid directory listings (Basic → Elite).
  • Maintain a pipeline of leads and active conversations.
  • Track conversions, renewals, and upgrades.
  • Encourage tier upgrades for increased visibility benefits.
  • Build repeatable outreach systems and lead sources.
  • Maintain professionalism and brand alignment in all communications.

Compensation

This is a commission-only independent contractor (1099) role.

Business Directory Acquisition Partners earn:

  • A percentage of all subscription revenue generated from businesses they onboard
  • Ongoing commission from monthly and annual renewals
  • Additional earnings from tier upgrades (Basic → Elite conversions)
  • Performance bonuses for high-volume or high-value placements

Revenue Model Includes:

  • Recurring monthly subscriptions
  • Annual subscription payments
  • Tier upgrades and premium placements

There is no hourly wage, salary, or guaranteed income.

Independent Contractor Status

This role is offered exclusively as a 1099 Independent Contractor position.

Contractors are responsible for their own outreach systems, tools, taxes, and business expenses. This role does not establish an employer-employee relationship.

To comply with applicable laws, JUS Official Services does not accept applicants residing in California or other jurisdictions where this contractor model is not legally supported or compliant.

Background Check Requirement

All applicants must successfully complete a criminal background check prior to onboarding and access to business systems or client outreach tools.

Failure to successfully complete the screening may result in disqualification.

Performance Expectations

Success in this role is measured by:

  • Number of businesses onboarded into the directory
  • Subscription revenue generated
  • Tier upgrades and conversion rates
  • Renewal retention performance
  • Pipeline activity and outreach consistency
  • Expansion of directory client base across industries

Ideal Candidate

The ideal Business Directory Acquisition Partner is persuasive, consistent, and highly entrepreneurial. They understand how to sell visibility, growth, and exposure to businesses that need customers. They are comfortable with outreach, follow-up, and turning conversations into recurring revenue.

Equal Opportunity

JUS Official Services is committed to providing equal opportunity to all qualified applicants. Independent contractor eligibility is determined based on qualifications, business needs, successful completion of required screenings, and compliance with applicable laws governing independent contractor relationships.
