We seek a motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join a dynamic global finance team. The Senior Cost Accountant will partner with a team of six others in US & Canada, and have joint responsibility for Accounting & Reporting for Supply Chain related accounts and activities, including Inventory and Cost of Goods Sold. Other key objectives of this role include business partnering with Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse & Operations, as well as periodic budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement presentation, with a focus on Supply Chain accounting
  • Partner with Purchasing function to forecast demand and process site-based purchase orders
  • Drive improvement in financial operation metrics, with a focus on Inventory Months-on-Hand
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Develop and maintain internal control framework
  • Balance Sheet & Gross Margin Variance Analysis
  • Collaborate with auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audit

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting or finance field
  • 5+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role
  • Extremely detail-oriented with excellent reasoning & analytical skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • SAP Experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be a self-motivated, independent yet collaborative team player, eager to learn

Base Pay

Expected Base Pay Range: $85,000 to $105,000 Annualized

The base pay range included is a projected hiring range for a position, level and potential work location(s) listed. Topcon provides the compensation range that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule.
