Position Summary:

MyQ is a product that connects Garage Door Openers, Lights, and other devices to a constantly connected cloud in order to provide a user benefit that includes away from home access control, notification, access history, and scheduled device commands.

This role is responsible for developing and maintaining development platforms for the Chamberlain MyQ program. This includes, but is not limited to middleware that serves as the foundation for MyQ residential and commercial platforms. To accomplish this the Software Engineer will work with other developers as well as other functions such as Engineering, Product Ownership, Marketing, Quality Assurance, Operations, and Customer Service in order to understand and translate product requirements into technical requirements, verify development matches product owner expectations, as well as maintain a high quality code base.

Responsibilities:

Work using Agile methodologies such as Scrum to develop middlewareAnalyze requirements, collaborate with architects and senior engineers to produce thoughtful software designs of moderate scope and complexityParticipate in peer reviews and pull requests to yield high quality softwarePresent software concepts, designs, or code in a design review forumProvide mentoring and coaching to junior engineers to increase the software development capability of the middleware team.
