Job description

The Motivity RCM Account Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the financial success of our ABA provider customers. This position serves as the primary contact for assigned accounts by managing day-to-day revenue cycle operations, driving improvements in claims and collections performance, and building strong partnerships rooted in trust, transparency, and results.

You will collaborate closely with customers, internal teams, and payer partners to resolve claim issues, streamline workflows, and provide proactive guidance that enhances cash flow and reduces administrative burden for our clients.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, build and maintain strong relationships, proactively addressing inquiries, and understanding their specific needs and goals. Responsible for delivering high-touch support and proactive communication.
  • Oversee the entire billing process for assigned accounts, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims; manage accounts receivable; and resolve denials to ensure timely payment.
  • Ensure adherence to industry regulations and payer policies, such as HIPAA and CMS guidelines.
  • Lead regular RCM client review meetings (weekly or bi-weekly cadence) to discuss performance, payer trends, and action plans.
  • Monitor claim submissions, payment posting, denials, and aging AR to ensure targets are met.
  • Identify trends in underpayments, delays, rejections, and drive remediation efforts to resolution.
  • Support payer enrollment processes and credentialing updates when needed.
  • Deliver cash flow, AR aging, and denial analytics with actionable recommendations.
  • Track KPIs and hold stakeholders accountable for improvements.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in revenue cycle management, ABA billing, or Behavioral Health
  • Knowledge of healthcare claims, payer guidelines, EOB/ERA reconciliation, and denial management.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in ABA billing or behavioral health is strongly preferred. Managing multiple provider accounts or billing groups simultaneously.
  • Experience with the Calmanac or Motivity PM systems strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with practice management, clearinghouse, and EHR systems.
  • Detail-oriented, numbers-driven, and highly organized.
  • Previous experience in a remote role with time management accountability.
