This role is primarily remote, giving you the flexibility to provide counseling from the comfort of your own space while still being an integral part of the school system in Dahlonega. You will collaborate with educational staff and other mental health professionals, ensuring that students' mental well-being is prioritized alongside their academic success. Typical working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.

• Deliver high-quality counseling, psychotherapy, and case management services tailored to the needs of students and their families.
• Create comprehensive, person-centered treatment plans in collaboration with clients that address their unique challenges and aspirations, using measurable goals.
• Advocate for clients, directing them to essential resources such as housing support, financial assistance, and community services to enhance their overall well-being.
• Engage in crisis intervention as needed, providing immediate support for clients experiencing acute mental health issues, including suicidal ideation, substance abuse crises, and trauma responses.
• Participate in school initiatives focused on mental health education, aiming to break down the stigma surrounding mental health issues within the school community.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to HIPAA regulations and state/federal laws.
• Receive ongoing mentorship and professional development opportunities designed to support your clinical and personal growth.

You will primarily work with children and adolescents in a school environment, providing therapy and interventions tailored specifically for a younger demographic. This role requires a strong understanding of the psychological issues faced by students, including anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and social adjustment difficulties. Collaboration with parents, teachers, and school administrators will enhance the treatment plan effectiveness and ensure a holistic approach to student well-being.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Possession of a current and valid LCSW license issued by the state of Georgia, enabling independent practice.
• A compassionate, empathetic approach to care emphasizing cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrated experience in providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families, preferably in a school or community-based setting.

• At least two years of relevant clinical experience working within educational or school-related settings.
