Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift (Full Time)

Location: East Stroudsburg, PA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift
Pay: Hourly, Non‐Exempt

National Electrical Carbon Products, Inc., a division of Morgan Advanced Materials, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our 1st‐shift team. We specialize in advanced materials that improve energy efficiency and enhance quality of life. This role is ideal for a self‐motivated technician with strong mechanical and electrical experience in a manufacturing environment.

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician will perform mechanical troubleshooting, electrical repairs, preventative maintenance, and equipment installations across the facility. This position is approximately 60% mechanical and 40% electrical/other. Overtime and occasional call‐ins may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment including production and material‐handling systems
  • Perform start‐ups, daily operations support, changeovers, and shutdown procedures
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on production machinery, HVAC, steam systems, plumbing, electrical, and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical systems
  • Record preventative maintenance tasks accurately
  • Complete work orders in a timely manner
  • Respond promptly to maintenance calls on the production floor
  • Assist with installation of new machinery and equipment
  • Maintain spare‐parts inventory and report usage
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and tools properly maintained

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of 480V, 3‐phase electricity
  • Ability to read and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical schematics
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting and Honeywell process controls is a plus
  • Machining, welding, fabrication, or millwright experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain mechanical processes
  • Safety‐focused, self‐motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must maintain good attendance and follow all company policies
  • Ability to become certified on forklifts, scissor lifts, and material‐handling equipment
  • Availability for overtime and off‐shift work as needed
  • Must meet requirements for handling Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) under ITAR/EAR/NRC regulations
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Protected Individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)
