Job description

Overview Are you interested in working on design and construction projects that make a global impact? This role offers the opportunity to explore various aspects of electrical engineering, including the design of complex power systems, observation and construction services, power system analyses, and more. You will be matched with inspiring projects, allowing you to collaborate on meaningful work that positively affects communities while utilizing cutting-edge software and technologies.

Responsibilities Providing electrical design services for various water and industrial-related projects. Developing electrical equipment selections, layouts, one-line diagrams, electrical load calculations, control schematics, and writing specifications. Conducting studies of power systems and performing electrical calculations for systems such as lighting, communications, fire alarms, security, and others.

Performing site reviews and studies to ensure designs meet location specifications, with updates to design requirements as necessary. Managing electrical power system or energy projects for various clients, including the US Federal Government. Collaborating with sales staff to create proposals in response to client requests for proposals (RFPs).

Reviewing draft proposals to ensure compliance with industry standards, as well as state, local, and federal regulations. Meeting with current and potential clients to discuss their design needs. Attending conferences and symposia to enhance the visibility of the firm's products and services in collaboration with the sales team.

Mentoring junior staff and helping them grow within the discipline and firm. Potentially supervising the work of junior engineers on project assignments. Experience with electrical design for water/wastewater projects is preferred.

Familiarity with SKM Power*Tools or other electrical system analysis software is preferred. Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related discipline. Professional Engineering (PE) license.

7 years of relevant experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required, depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Certification/License Requirements Professional Engineer Amount of Travel Required 5% Skills and Abilities Expertise in computer-assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software. Strong understanding of engineering design principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
