Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced Principal Product Procurement Specialist to support complex procurement activities and supplier management across our supply chain organization. As a Principal Product Procurement Specialist, you will execute procurement processes, support RFPs and negotiation activities, perform cost analysis, manage purchase orders, and ensure compliance with contractual and business requirements. You’ll play an important role in resolving supplier and delivery issues while supporting customer satisfaction, cost competitiveness, and operational excellence.

In this individual contributor role, you will partner with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure procurement activities support cost, quality, delivery, and customer requirements.

Your mission: Deliver effective procurement solutions by strengthening supplier relationships, optimizing costs, resolving supply challenges, and ensuring materials, products, and services are available to meet business needs.

This remote position is based at our Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

What You Will Do:

  • Execute procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFPs, negotiation preparation, and cost analysis.
  • Support purchasing activities for goods, materials, supplies, and services while ensuring terms are in the organization’s best interest.
  • Prepare purchase orders, support payment approvals, and negotiate pricing under general guidance.
  • Analyze supplier quotations, pricing information, financial data, and other relevant information to support reasonable pricing decisions.
  • Prepare Requests for Proposal (RFPs), bid packages, and related procurement documentation for new business opportunities.
  • Monitor supplier and contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and business requirements.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status, changes, cancellations, and other procurement-related matters.
  • Communicate with suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve shortages, missed deliveries, and other supply issues.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation while supporting reporting and administrative requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve procurement processes, supplier performance, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience, or in the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (Verbal and Written).
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Understanding of Lean Principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Understanding of contractual terms and conditions.
  • APICS or ISM certification preferred (CPIM, CPM, CSCP, or CPSM).
  • Experience using SAP, particularly for MRP-related activities.
  • Experience with supplier management, purchasing, sourcing, and procurement lifecycle activities.
