Solutions Engineer/Solutions Architect - Pre/Post Sales Engineering (D.C Area)

***This role is remote based but requires candidates to be located in the D.C. area to visit customer sites regularly***

Job Description:

We're looking for a pre/post sales focused engineer at Legion Intelligence to demonstrate what agentic AI does in real operational environments for prospective customers and partners. In this role, you'll architect and implement proof of concepts (POCs) that show customers the impact Legion can have on their mission. You'll educate prospects on how Legion's capabilities change the way work gets done and on how we address the concerns that decide these deals: accreditation posture, operation in air-gapped and disconnected environments, data sovereignty, human oversight, and full attribution and audit of agent activity. Using your familiarity with customer needs, you'll bring their use cases, desired features, and pain points to our internal teams to help Legion improve the product. By building a strong relationship with prospective customer stakeholders, you'll become a trusted advisor, providing honest assessments of what Legion will and will not do for a given mission.

The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in leading customers through the technical sales journey, from gathering requirements to POC development and customer demonstrations. You will work closely with Legion sales leaders throughout the sales cycle and with delivery engineers and customer success during the transition from sales to delivery. You will meet with services, technology, and platform partners to develop prototype integrations and technical sales materials in support of co-selling opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with sales leadership, the CEO, and the VP of Delivery to develop and implement the technical pre-sales and delivery scoping process for Legion Intelligence.
  • Communicate with customer business stakeholders to identify areas where Legion Intelligence can bring value, then design and implement POCs for those opportunities.
  • Establish ongoing relationships with technical procurement stakeholders at major clients, driving 
  • Build and present demonstrations tailored to specific prospective customers to showcase the value of Legion Intelligence
  • Lead technical pre-sales presentations and demonstrations with prospective customer stakeholders, translating technical concepts to business impact for non-technical decision-makers.
  • Work alongside pre-sales engineers at partner organizations to build reusable demonstration materials.
  • Analyze competitor products and build comparison materials to educate Legion Intelligence employees and prospective customers on our unique value proposition.
  • Relay customer feedback and insights to Legion Intelligence internal team to inform product decisions.

Qualifications:

  • 4 years experience in pre-sales engineering, 
  • 2 years experience developing prototypes using cloud computing solutions like Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Proficiency with Python or another scripting language.
  • Proven contributions to successful technology sales processes. 
  • Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one is preferred.
  • US Citizenship is required due to US Government contract requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in technology startup environments.
  • Experience developing Generative AI prototypes.
