Sevita Therapeutic Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselor focusing on mood disorders to join our team in a remote capacity. The role is fully remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements while maintaining a strong sense of team collaboration. Working Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend shifts, ensures you have a structured schedule while serving clients as required. • Conduct in-depth assessments to evaluate mood disorder symptoms, including frequency and duration, to develop a comprehensive understanding of each client's unique situation.
• Collaborate with clients to personalize treatment plans that align with their goals and preferences, fostering a sense of ownership in their therapeutic journey.
• Implement evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate change in clients' thought processes and behaviors.
• Provide education and support to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment methods, and strategies for self-care, promoting informed engagement in their mental health.
• Track and evaluate client progress closely, making data-informed adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to create an integrated care approach, addressing both psychological and medical aspects of treatment.
• Stay informed of the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatments to continuously improve service delivery.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of therapy sessions, assessments, and treatment progress in accordance with legal, ethical, and HIPAA standards.
• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development to enhance personal clinical skills and expand best practices in mood disorder treatment.
• Advocate for clients by reducing the stigma surrounding mood disorders and promoting awareness of mental health resources.

This role primarily involves working with individuals facing mood disorders, including anxiety disorders, depression, and bipolar disorder. Clients may come from various backgrounds and demographics, each presenting unique challenges and histories. Your expertise will guide them through their mental health journey, emphasizing recovery and management strategies tailored to their lives.

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based treatment methodologies specific to mood disorders, particularly CBT and DBT.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with clients from a diverse spectrum.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience specializing in mood disorders is preferred.
• A proven track record of utilizing innovative therapeutic techniques to achieve positive outcomes.
• Knowledge of psychopharmacology and experience collaborating effectively with psychiatrists.
