Get Well Counseling Center LTD is looking for a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Therapist to provide compassionate, trauma-informed care to patients in a remote setting. Our outpatient facility specializes in treating an array of conditions, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Driven by a mission to empower our clients, we employ trauma-informed practices that respect and prioritize their unique experiences and needs.

Work Environment

This full-time role is conducted entirely via telehealth, allowing you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some variability based on the clinical needs of your patients. Our remote work environment emphasizes collaboration while also ensuring that you have the tools to provide high-quality mental health care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to effectively evaluate patients' backgrounds and identify tailored treatment strategies.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on trauma recovery, emphasizing resilience-building techniques.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, helping patients process trauma, develop effective coping mechanisms, and promote emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to patient care.
  • Deliver timely crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure patient safety.
  • Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, available resources, and coping strategies to enhance their understanding and involvement in the recovery process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role, you will primarily support individuals who have encountered a range of traumatic experiences. These may include adults with PTSD stemming from various sources, such as personal trauma, combat experience, or childhood adversity. Qualifications
  • A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Nevada.
  • Solid foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and proficiency in trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
