What is a Remote 3D Post Processing Radiology specialist?

A Remote 3D Post Processing Radiology specialist is a medical imaging professional who utilizes advanced software to create 3D models and reconstructions from radiological scans such as CT and MRI, working remotely rather than on-site at a hospital or clinic. Their work supports radiologists and physicians by providing detailed visualizations that aid in diagnosis, surgical planning, and treatment monitoring. They often collaborate with other medical professionals and must be proficient in using specialized imaging software. Remote work allows them to serve multiple healthcare facilities while maintaining high-quality standards and patient confidentiality.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote 3D Post Processing Radiology specialist?

To thrive as a Remote 3D Post Processing Radiology Specialist, you need a solid background in radiologic technology or medical imaging, usually with ARRT certification and experience in advanced imaging modalities. Proficiency with specialized 3D post-processing software like Vitrea, TeraRecon, or GE AW, and familiarity with PACS systems are essential. Attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and effective virtual communication skills help ensure accurate interpretations and collaboration with offsite medical teams. These skills and qualifications are crucial for producing high-quality 3D images that aid in precise diagnoses and patient care, even in a remote setting.

How do Remote 3D Post Processing Radiology professionals typically collaborate with on-site radiologists and referring physicians?

Remote 3D post processing radiology professionals often work closely with on-site radiologists and referring physicians through secure digital platforms. Communication is key—they discuss imaging requests, clarify clinical questions, and review processed images and reconstructions via virtual meetings or messaging systems. Clear documentation and timely response to feedback are essential, ensuring that final 3D images meet diagnostic needs. This collaborative workflow helps maintain high-quality patient care, even though the team may be geographically dispersed.

Job Summary

Moultrie is a leader in innovative products that inspire and excite hunters across the globe. We’re seeking a results-driven Firmware Program Manager to own engineering and program timelines for the firmware and connectivity that run our connected cameras and feeders – the embedded systems, wireless connectivity (cellular, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi), and over-the-air update pipeline that keep our devices talking to the Moultrie app and cloud. This role leads cross-functional teams, manages engineering and program timelines, and ensures the delivery of high-quality firmware on time and within budget. The ideal candidate combines embedded systems expertise, project management excellence, and leadership to drive results.

Job Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning: Partner with product management and hardware engineering to define firmware roadmaps, development goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for new programs.

• Project Management: Lead cross-functional teams through all firmware development phases, including discovery, design, development, QA, staging, release, and post-launch support.

• Budget & Schedule Management: Develop, monitor, and manage project budgets and timelines. Proactively identify and address potential delays or risks to keep firmware programs on schedule and within budget.

• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks across technical, security, and compliance areas throughout the firmware development lifecycle, including wireless certification and power management.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate communication and alignment between firmware engineering, electrical and mechanical hardware teams, app/cloud engineering, QA, and product to ensure cohesive product development.

• Technical Expertise: Apply in-depth knowledge of embedded systems, RTOS and bare-metal firmware, wireless connectivity (cellular LTE/5G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi), low-power design, and over-the-air (OTA) update mechanisms to guide informed decisions.

• Quality Assurance: Oversee firmware QA processes, including unit, integration, and field testing, and release management to ensure firmware meets rigorous standards.

• Release & DevOps Coordination: Manage firmware release schedules and OTA deployment pipelines, and coordinate with firmware and DevOps engineering to ensure smooth, reliable releases across the device fleet.

• Post-Launch Support: Monitor firmware performance after launch – device stability, connectivity reliability, battery life, and support tickets – and implement improvements as needed.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).

• Proven experience managing complex firmware or embedded systems programs from concept to release using Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project management methodologies.

• Strong technical understanding of embedded firmware development, RTOS or bare-metal systems, and wireless connectivity (cellular, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi) for connected hardware products.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional engineering teams, including firmware, electrical, and hardware, while managing multiple stakeholders.

• Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical details to diverse audiences.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

• Experience delivering firmware or embedded products on time, on budget, and to high-quality standards.

• Knowledge of firmware release management, QA processes, and security/compliance considerations for connected products, including wireless carrier and FCC certification.

Essential Job Function

• Experience as a Program Manager, Scrum Master, or similar leadership role in an embedded or firmware environment.

• Experience with budgetary planning, cost tracking, and financial accountability for projects.

• Familiarity with low-power battery management and solar-powered device design.
