Foodsmart Registered Dietitians (RDs)

Foodsmart is seeking compassionate and mission-driven Registered Dietitians (RDs) with active Certifications in New York to join our growing Foodsmart Nutrition Network. As a Foodsmart RD, you'll deliver virtual Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and personalized care to members—many of whom are Medicaid participants or facing food insecurity.

You Will:

  • Help members stretch their food budgets and make the most of what they have
  • Guide access to affordable, healthy groceries through our online marketplace
  • Connect members with local food and nutrition resources
  • Support sustainable meal planning and healthy habits for families
  • Deliver MNT to manage or prevent chronic conditions
  • Provide personalized virtual nutrition care via secure video and messaging

You Have:

  • Active credentialing as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Certification in NY State
  • Willingness to obtain state licenses in high demand states (reimbursed by Foodsmart)
  • Ability to work in the U.S.
  • A computer, high speed internet and a smart phone
  • At least 15 hours of weekly availability for patients (weekends and evenings count!)- note that while this role asks for 15 hours, we have other roles requiring less availability- please apply even if you can't meet this requirement!

Compensation

  • $52.80 for a 1-hour visit; Most of our visits are scheduled for one hour.
  • $57.20 for those bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese

$52.80 - $57.20 an hour $52.80 for a 1-hour visit; ($13.20 per 15-minute unit for Medical Nutrition Therapy). Most of our visits are scheduled for one hour. $57.20 for those bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese ($14.30 per unit)
