Job description

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing projects from the receipt of the purchase order through to project close and customer satisfaction. This role requires excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills to ensure all customer deliverables are met on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Communication:

  • Maintain continuous, open, and consistent professional communication with customers, peers, and management.
  • Facilitate timely responses to all customer and internal requests.

Project Management:

  • Manage and maintain the project lifecycle from receipt of P.O. to project close and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all customer deliverables are met, including quality, schedule, customer service, recovery schedule, and site visits (as needed).
  • Oversee overall project costs and quoted margin.

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation throughout the project, including quotes, P.O.s, change orders, BOMs, approvals, meeting minutes, and action items.
  • Facilitate BOM and drawing approvals with customers.

Meetings:

  • Facilitate all required internal meetings and follow up to ensure team deliverables are met.
  • Conduct project kickoffs with manufacturing, procurement, scheduling, shipping, and customers.
  • Hold regular meetings with customers and internal teams.
  • Supply meeting agendas with invites and follow up with meeting minutes and action items after meetings.

Order Management:

  • Ensure order entry is accurate and all delivery dates are clearly communicated to the customer and internal team.
  • Facilitate all project reprices and change orders throughout the project.

Customer Service:

  • Ensure all customer service requirements are provided on schedule for each project, including spare parts and maintenance pages.
  • Facilitate all site visits, including project management, field services, and quality.

Billing and Invoicing:

  • Ensure all project billing milestones and invoicing requirements are clearly communicated to the accounting team.

Knowledge and Expertise:

  • Maintain a working knowledge of end-user specifications.
  • Advise less experienced project managers on all aspects of projects.
  • Help develop and maintain department standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or similar role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Experience in ERP system preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
