Job description

The Cash Management Analyst will assist in various aspects of the cash application process, with the primary focus being partnering with team members to drive efficiencies, and maintenance in automating the company's cash collection processes. Responsible for creating, reviewing, and disseminating various reports to support timely and accurate cash collection and application. This position will partner with the Cash Management Lead and Cash Application Supervisor to further automate the company's cash collection processes, thereby having a direct impact on timely cash posting therefore improving the company's cash balance.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze and interpret remittance information supplied on remittance advice from third-party portals
  • Process credit card payments and payer correspondence received via the company's lockbox
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the company's banks and the collections teams to resolve errors
  • Make calls to insurance/payers to resolve and research payment issues
  • Research recoupment and offset information for payment postin
  • Partner with the Cash Management Lead to transition payers from paper transactions to electronic methods of payment, including electronic claims, electronic remittance notices and electronic fund transfers
  • Assist in review of reimbursement analyses and other reporting, as required, to identify issues or trends and develop a plan to address accordingl
  • Develop and maintain an environment of continuous process improvement, focused on enhancing and streamlining collections and the related reporting processes
  • Provide support for system upgrades and implementations
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Perform all job duties while maintaining compliance with all appropriate regulatory requirements including, SEC, IRS and HIPAA

Education & Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor or Associate degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in the healthcare field
  • 1+ years of experience in treasury functions

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with ability to learn various software programs quickly
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and growth environment
