Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: Lexington, KY (On-Site)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Overview

VALiNTRY is seeking a CFO well-established and rapidly growing organization seeking an accomplished Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. This is a highly strategic role responsible for driving the company's financial vision, ensuring long-term financial stability, and supporting continued business growth.

The CFO will oversee all aspects of financial operations, including strategic planning, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, risk management, Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting, job costing, tax strategy, banking relationships, and investment strategy. As a key member of the executive team, the successful candidate will provide financial leadership, partner with senior executives, and present financial results and recommendations to the Board of Directors.

This position is based on-site in Lexington, Kentucky.
The salary range for this position is $170,000 to $195,000 per year. However, if you possess additional valuable skill sets that could benefit the enterprise, you may be eligible for higher compensation. We encourage strong technical candidates to apply without hesitation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the organization's long-term financial strategy.
  • Lead all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
  • Oversee Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting, job costing, percentage-of-completion accounting, and project profitability analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting and operational visibility.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Manage relationships with banks, lenders, investors, auditors, and other financial partners.
  • Develop capital planning strategies and optimize the company's capital structure.
  • Oversee financial planning, analysis, and performance metrics to support business growth.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls and risk management practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with executive leadership to align financial strategy with overall business objectives.
  • Monitor industry trends and recommend financial strategies that support continued growth.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred.
  • 7-10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
  • Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial executive.
  • Experience within construction, EPC, or other project-based organizations is strongly preferred.
