With a strong pipeline of ICI construction projects, we're looking for construction leaders who are ready for their next opportunity and are interested in building a long-term career with a company known for quality, integrity, and exceptional project delivery. If you're motivated by challenging work, a collaborative culture, and the opportunity to grow with an established general contractor, LAURIN offers the stability and support to help you succeed.

Why Join LAURIN?

At LAURIN, we believe a great career is built on more than just a paycheck — it’s built on stability, support, and opportunity. Our total rewards package is designed to recognize your contributions and help you thrive both professionally and personally.

  • Competitive compensation that reflects your skills, experience, and impact.
  • Annual discretionary profit-sharing program.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family.
  • Prescription drug coverage and access to telemedicine services.
  • Life, AD&D, and disability insurance for financial peace of mind.
  • Mental health and wellness support through our Employee Assistance Program.
  • Paid vacation, sick days, and personal days to recharge and stay balanced.

  • Retirement savings plan with employer matching.
  • Inclusive, safety-first culture where every person is respected.
  • Ongoing opportunities to grow, including training, mentorship, and career advancement.
  • Opportunity to join a growing Ottawa-based team with a strong backlog of exciting ICI construction projects.

Your Impact at LAURIN

As a Site Superintendent at LAURIN, you will be a key leader in the delivery of complex ICI construction projects, championing safety, quality, and collaboration to achieve exceptional project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all day‑to‑day construction activities on the assigned project site, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract documents, drawings, specifications, and LAURIN standards.
  • Act as LAURIN’s on‑site construction leader, providing clear direction to site personnel, sub‑trades, and suppliers while maintaining an organized, professional, and productive work environment.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and manage construction schedules, site logistics, sequencing, and manpower requirements; experience with pull planning and Lean construction methodologies is considered a strong asset.
  • Supervise, direct, and coordinate all sub‑trades and suppliers, ensuring quality, productivity, schedule adherence, and site safety expectations are consistently met.
  • Collaborate with Health & Safety representatives in the administration of COR™ protocols, maintaining strong working knowledge of site safety requirements and actively identifying and addressing safety risks.
  • Assist management in planning, organizing, and controlling construction activities, including identifying constructability challenges, schedule risks, and coordination issues and collaborating with the Project Manager to resolve them.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to colleagues, including fellow Superintendents and site staff, fostering teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, inspectors, and local sub‑trades, representing LAURIN with the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct within the construction community.
  • Attend and participate in site meetings, inspections, and coordination sessions, ensuring timely and effective communication of site progress, issues, and priorities.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as directed by the Vice President or senior management.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience leading ICI projects with a value range up to $40 million.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proactive decision-making.
  • Strong proficiency with construction‑related software and systems, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook), MS Project, Lean Six Sigma- Construction, and Autodesk Construction Cloud platforms.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and client-focused delivery.
